OYO 231 Hotel Magnificent View

Located on the edge of Thamel, close to all the shopping , restaurants, cafes, monet exchange booths and ATMs, but on a quiet street so restful. The hotel is very clean with modern facilities, nice rooms, good linens and toiletries. There is plenty hot water, a safe,air conditioning and food WiFi. Rooms are cleaned to a good standard daily. The breakfast buffet changes every morning, and provides for all nationalities, with eggs to order also. There is food available all day too. Best of all are the staff on reception and the restaurant, who are always helpful and polite. Ganga the manager is ever present, and happy to help with any arrangements. I stayed before and after travelling around Nepal and was welcomed back like an old friend! Thank you for making me feel at home!

Perfect place to stay, good location Center of Kathmandu. Hotel is clean and comfortable. but the bathroom smelly. Breakfast is very basic. Rooms are small. Staff are very friendly. Manager Ganga is a very friendly person.

We stayed on three separate occasions at Magnificent Hotel during out visit to Nepal. Great hotel with spaceous, clean rooms, central location close to garden of Dreams and Ganga (manager) was of great help. All in all strongly recommend!

The Magnificent Hotel is an outstanding value for money. It is in great location, within walking distance of Asan Bazar, Durbar Square and the lively streets in the Thamel district. The hotel is on a safe street with restaurants, grocery store and even security agents. The hotel is clean and in good condition. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is comfortable, relaxing and breezing. The rooms are clean and comfortable. All communication for reservations or special request was perfect. However, what truly made the difference was the professional and caring staff. All were helpful, spoke multiple languages and proactive in providing help. One example is Kritika, who was absolutely exceptional, with a consistent positive attitude. She helped to explain the local riding sharing App inDrive. She helped me with the local cellphone provider Ncell. Help arranged laundry service and other useful information. Also Rajesh, the bar man was helpful to suggest local dishes. More importantly he was kind and interesting to discuss with. Finally, Ganga the manager was absolutely exceptional to ensure all was well organized and inspiring his staff. I had the occasion to speak with him many times and it was very enjoyable. We stayed in a Deluxe Family Suite room with two separate rooms, good air conditioning and shower and comfortable bed. Highly recommended

We went for a family trip and our first stop was in Katmandu. They picked us up at the airport. The hotel is strategically placed in the quiet and charming place. Nevertheless the quality of the service was just amazing. The people working there were incredible kind and gave us topp service. We highly recommend the hotel. Family Hauge from Norway 🙏

Not luxurious place to stay, but clean and good standard. Fantastic service from arrival to departure. Perfect location for all you want to see and do in Kathmandu. Very reasonable prices. We will be back and can highly recommend this hotel.

One of the most clean and relaxing hotel I've been to. The ambiance is also very homey with very good lighting. They also have a very good breakfast with lots of variety. Most importantly, the staff and the management are very kind and accommodating!
