I stayed for two nights, and the owner was very friendly, but due to the epidemic, no tourists stayed. The room that I arranged was unoccupied for a long time. There was a musty smell inside. There was no hot water in the shower one night, and there was hot water the next night.

The host and staff is really friendly and helpful. The hotel maintains it's hygiene and everything very well. I stayed at this place for a week atleast. It is located just in the main market area of famous tourist spot Thamel (live music, good food, lively evenings) Highly recommended for solo travelers, couples and families.

We were planning for the holidays in Nepal and searching for some good and reasonable hotels in Kathmandu online. There we came across Backyard hotel over there. Their what's app number is also available on website of their hotel. It was so convenient to book hotel prior to our trip on call. There is no advance payment system so we paid when we reached there. Overall hotel and Room was really nice, cleaned and well organized with good facilities. Top of that, the owner and rest of the staff were extremely cooperative and helpful. They also helped us in planning and providing itinerary for Chitwan 2 days trip. We highly recommend this hotel if you want best holidays in Kathmandu!

Best place to stay in the heart of Kathmandu city. My family have been here few times and always choose this place. The staff is always there when needed, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Close by, access to every necessary shops and restaurants. You wont find a better place to stay than the Backyard Hotel ❤ Will definitely come back

Everyone one here works very hard for your comfort just ask and they will do their best to help Highly recommended I stayed 15 days there before and after trekking they kept my bags and made sure I had a room in my return

I stayed here, and let me just start by saying the host Rajendra jee is the most humble and friendly host/owner/friend/bhai. An amazing person with even better guide he kept in touch and had helped us in arranging cab and the best part is the staff here. Humble and service with a smile I have seen that here in Nepal. Nepal is an awesom place and it became even more memorable when the host Mr. Ragendra Shreshta. What more to say clean rooms great host and great staff. Thanks again Mr Ragendra jee. I wil come back here with my family.
