Kauai Shores Hotel

Location: Conveniently located on the east coast, easy access to both north and south. Beach: Not well-maintained with lots of dead branches, strong waves, and murky water. However, it's a good value, and we didn't really use the hotel beach much since we were out doing activities for most of our stay. Service: Security was decent; they patrolled every night and even reminded us if our door wasn't fully closed. Accommodation: Our assigned room had a moldy smell that got stronger each day. We later realized it was an issue with the air conditioning. On our fifth night, we found several cockroaches, which led us to check out for the remaining two nights. This really impacted our overall experience. Surrounding Facilities: There's a配套广场 (integrated plaza) nearby with places like ABC for dining, which was very convenient, and also a decent Chinese restaurant. Summary: If you have a busy itinerary, this could work as a base, but don't expect too much. Make sure to check if the air conditioning has any issues. The value for money is good.

Superb! 👍🏻 The hotel management, service attitude and hygiene are all excellent. The breakfast selection is also very suitable for Chinese and Asian tastes. I would recommend it to my friends.

The front desk service was so-so. I requested twin beds in the booking notes, and booked through an agent on Ctrip, but they couldn't get one. They even said that terms like "king/twin" don't guarantee availability. Lesson learned, and I'll share this with others: if you definitely want twin beds, read the details carefully before booking. It's close to the beach, and there are decent restaurants nearby. Renting a car isn't a problem.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and the environment was lovely, right by the sea. It was very comfortable for one person. It's about a 10-minute drive from the airport, and if there's no traffic, I would definitely choose this place again next time.

There's a laundry room! Washing and drying costs $4 each, it smells amazing, I even washed all of Honolulu's dirty clothes! There's a Coconut Markerplace shopping area nearby, a five-minute walk, no need to cross the street. It has a medium-sized supermarket selling hot ready-made meals; the food is decent, no tipping is required, and they accept UnionPay, which is great. No deposit is required, and there are free bicycles for rent. Turn right after exiting and walk along the beach; it's quite beautiful, but go early to avoid the scorching sun. Each building has free water dispensers where you can get hot water, which is great for seniors. The rooms aren't cleaned, but they do change the towels and trash cans. You'll be given a few towel cards upon check-in to exchange for pool towels at the front desk. Free parking; the front desk will give you a small card upon check-in. Overall, highly recommended!
