My wife and I travel a ton for work and are used to having great hotel stays and not so great hotel stays. But this one was just downright unique...and not in a good way. We decided we'd take the kids to see the Chiefs vs. Broncos game in October. Checking in was easy and we enjoyed seeing all the red Chiefs gear that all the other guests were proudly displaying. We asked for and received an early check-in. Which was very helpful. This allowed us to drop off some bags to make more room for the tailgating supplies. The goal was to drive into town, drop our luggage off at the hotel, and hit Arrowhead's parking lot ASAP to get the tailgating started. This was our children's first game and we wanted to show them the whole fun experience. Walking into the room was odd, the only door in our "two-bedroom suite" was the bathroom door. The bed in one room was arranged so the person lying in the other room's bed looked directly at one another. We quickly realized it was a good thing we all brought PJs as there is zero privacy in this room. If we were with another couple, this would have been really awkward and unacceptable. This is the first hotel we've stayed at that the room's walls were completely empty. No pictures, no fire escape path photo, no nothing. It was a little bizarre and not at all an impressive-looking room. When we got back from the game, that is when the nightmare began. First, there were no parking stalls available and we had to park off campus. You cannot tell if stalls are available until you are physically in the lot. Clearly, the other cars were also not aware there were no parking spaces so we all became stuck in a line in the lot. This went on for about 30 minutes until everyone could back out safely. Once we found an off-campus spot, we went into the room. Before leaving for the game, we turned the AC down to 68. When we arrived in the room it was 77. We learned the single AC/Heat vent is located in such a way that it bounces off the wall of the small cutout, a 4ft hallway, and does not circulate the air. So, we were already up for a hot night. Twenty minutes after we got into bed, around midnight, our neighbor began slamming their door and continued to do so for an hour. At 1 a.m. I spoke to him and told him to stop. He advised his door would not shut, and that he told the front desk, and they did not fix it. I tried to call the front desk but our room's phone did not work. So, I got fully dressed and walked down to the front desk I asked the front desk clerk to solve the problem. He said he would. Once upstairs, I again got ready for bed and then the door slamming started up again. At 1:30 a.m., I again got dressed and told them to stop slamming the door. They did for a short while. At 2 a.m., it started up again. I again got out of bed and tried the phone to call the front desk as I had forgotten it didn't work. I travel so much, that my muscle memory told me the phone would of course work. It didn't. So, I got ful

Kind of a mid-grade hotel, but close to downtown activities. I rented a 3 bedroom suite. Ok... it had three beds and a kitchenette. I guess that makes it a suite...ish. The main area had one bed and a sofabed. The other two "bedrooms" were just walled spaces with a closet, a tv and windows. No doors! I think definition of bedroom is to assume the room has a door. We were tired from travelling, and had noise generators, so it wasnt a big deal. However, if people rented this room type thinking there would be privacy, think again. On a positive note: the breakfast was good, and if you stand in the hallway you can catch a contact high from the ***** being enjoyed on the property. Might make your food more enjoyable?? I might stay here again with these issues in mind, but probably would at least bring pressure rods and curtains to put in the door frames.

Five friends came to KC for four days of intensive barbecue eating. This Quality Inn was well-situated for the BBQ joints we wanted to visit. From previous reviewers, we knew not to expect too much and the hotel delivered just that, an average experience. My room, 107, was dark, but quiet. It's directly across the hall from the ice maker and a large air conditioning duct, so those two machines provided white noise throughout the evening. The hotel is averagely clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have an adjoining parking lot, which is very convenient--many other downtown hotels charge $20+ per day for parking, so this was a good saving. The complimentary breakfast was good--scrambled eggs, waffles, yogurt, and cereal--the standard Quality Inn fare. For the price, the hotel was fine. It did not over or under deliver.

Staff was very helpful and they went our of their way to be good hosts: They gave us 2 free drink vouchers, food, and cookies. This was during the draft, and they made it a really fun experience. The location was great and the breakfast was good! The rooms are certainly odd and it does not feel like a normal hotel. No art on the wall, no lamps on bedside tables. There was a great kitchenette, however.

The staff were incredible and so helpful. The hotel was under construction but the lobby, fitness center (TV was miss remote), and our room was great and clean. The room was much larger than planned. We had 2 beds and a separate seating area with tv down a hall, which worked out great with teens. It had a full size fridge and a kitchenette with 2 burner stove top, sink, and microwave. The bathroom was small but functional. The parking was really limited due to the construction but a very well lit parking area. Walking distance to WWI museum, Union Station, and Crown Center (If you are up for a good walk).

Very disappointed with this hotel. Not worth the money. We got two double beds, but there are two rooms separated by a wall. There is no air vent in that second room, so one room was freezing cold, and the second was too hot to sleep. There was hair in the bathroom, and on my sheets. There is a cheap "table and chairs" in the second room that are similar to what you find in a school room, very uncomfortable! The curtains were torn. The mattresses were very thin and uncomfortable as well. This place seemed more like a dorm or maybe apartment complex that had been remodeled with all of the metal conduits on the ceilings and walls. The elevator was super slow and smelled bad. Kids were running up and down the halls all night. Went down for breakfast and nothing was left and food was all over the place. Nasty. This place is a 2 star at best.
