#positive #I was happy with the Location; #negative #I was disappointed with the Soundproofing, Value for Money; There is also a courtyard in this town, but according to the reviews and prices, I thought it was okay, but I didn't expect that the heating was broken. After restarting, the sound was loud, and I listened to the rumbling sound of the motor for 2 nights. There is no cold wind from the hair dryer, and the feeling of burning my head. The most terrible breakfast. The only thing that is hot is coffee and hot water.

This is a lovely hotel in an amazing location that won’t break the bank.  What a surprisingly charming little hotel!    Though this hotel is amazing, it’s value is in its staff.  We were in town for a funeral and the kindness and care we were treated with was above and beyond the norm!  From the daytime counter lady, the lovely Ms Bonnie to the hardworking Manager Michael they really went above an beyond to accommodate.  They even went so far and to put my daughter (who flew in from another country where she is a student) and her fiancé (that she doesn’t get to see while she is in school) in a lovely room with an amazing view.    I will end with their are no words to express my gratitude to them for making a horrible situation as pleasant as possible.

Fairfield Inn is often our choice, but this Fairfield exceeded any of the best ever.  It is a beautiful brick building that was at one time a distinguished hotel, then apartments and now a great downtown location.  We were lucky enough to get one of the four king bed loft rooms. Amazing! Like a small small apartment in itself - two bathrooms (one down and one up) with a very comfortable living room space.  Breakfast by all Covid recent prepackaged and heated was very good. The service and staff were doing an excellent job. Parking is free which is unusual for a downtown location.  Highly recommend booking your stay in southern NH here.

I liked the thought of staying in a hotel in a historic building. As others have mentioned you need to lug your suitcases up and down stairs from the parking lot. The room was fine but we had to call the front desk as the air conditioning wasn’t working and they said they had to reset the breaker. We were there 2 nights and there was no breakfast due to “equipment issues”. This seemed to be the case from a September review as well.  What kind of equipment issues would shut down the entire breakfast service. We also had a tip envelope for the maid but received no housekeeping service during our visit??  This was not stated when we checked in. The woman working the front desk didn’t even know where the Chinese restaurant was that was literally on the same street maybe 200 feet from the hotel. Think they need to up their game and their service.
