Two of us wanted to overnight before a flight the next morning. We arrived after staff had gone and got in with a door code. The rooms were small and comfortable and there were shared bathrooms. There was a wide range of tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits. There was a phone for booking a taxi. It is about 15 minutes from the airport. (About £20.00). The best feature was that we were only a minute of two from the main street (it is a very small place) and found a good bar and excellent Italian. All good.

Comfy bed and very good value, free tea and coffee in lounge. Nice quaint property. Definitely recommend as a base for a short stay. Easy parking. Only downside was a noisy guest in the next room playing loud music at 130am against the hotel rules.

This place has the potential to be better than it is. It is reasonably priced and in a good location. Especially for people using the airport. The good side is that it has small but adequate rooms with the essentials. It has private parking available. The downside starts at the front door. It has a code for entering the building and then you find a booket explaining the place and its rules with your key attached. The owners live in the building, but you never see them. No personal touch. My main complaint is the shared bathroom and shower. There is no place to hang your clothes or put any toiletries. The only place possible is occupied by a stack of towels for the guests. the towels could have been in the rooms. And the plastic shower enclosure is raised high above the ground and not attached to the wall. It is no good for older or handicapped people.

Having a flight out at 6am is never easy. You want to have some sleep yet you don't want to be as close as possible to the airport. Plus what about your rental car as most companies don't open that early. Nupan Deluxe is a very convenient place for all that. We rented our car with LAVA (recommended) which is a 15' walk from Nupan Deluxe (so do the luggage at ND, bring in your car at say 18pm and walk back to ND). ND is located a 5' stroll from the calm keflavik seaside, with restaurants and bars (we ate pizza and salmon at Mamma Mia's). The place has a very personal feeling, quaintly decorated. The rooms are very large, beds are comfortable, everything is perfectly clean). There's a very well organized self check in. No breakfast but there's a kitchen where you can make some complementary coffee or tea. We slept some good hours before getting up at 3:15 to be brought to the airport, 8' drive away, by the owner. We paid 25€ for the ride. I think that as of 5am the ride is for free even. This was the best experience we could have with a red eye flight.
