Playa Del Sol Resort

Came in today with my granddaughter to take her to the steam room. I was immediately told by several somewhat irritated people in the gym about how the steam room had been down since late November/Early December and that the manager was aware. Appalled at how horrible this building looks since last time I visited. It’s aged 20 years, no maintenance being done. Not handicap accessible at all. Not even buttons to open doors when you carry groceries.

Terrible dirty place. Clearly the building manager does nothing to maintain. Terrible layout that makes you walk ages just to get to an elevator. Dust and dirty everywhere in the carpets and cracks and weeds all over the outdoor areas. Gym isn’t well maintained either, steam room did not work either while we stayed

Unit #350 I lived at this resort previously. So returning to the area, we rented through *******. We were not informed at any time that we had not rented our week from the resort itself. And that made alot of confusion disorganization and hiccups. Which makes me sad as I love the resort. First they provided no checkin info . It's a secure building so this is a necessity. We even had ******* try calling them several times. The number provided was never answered and no voice mail. After googling and calling the rental office we were informed that they had not rented to us... and we had already paid for a week in advance. They were cordial but had no idea how to help. So, we landed in Kelowna after 8 hours with no way to checkin. Concerning. Eventually someone texted stating theyd been calling for days. Hmm... call logs no calls. On our end. Odd. We finally are allowed to checkin after waiting 6 hours for them to clean the room. Again left waiting in lobby. Finally we are in. Rooms are fine. A bit dated. But resort is good. TV didnt work. Door electronic lock with no instructions was difficult. DVD player didn't work .Couldn't use the ac as dusty vents triggered asthma. Bbq dirty and ignitor broken. Patio full of spider webs. Last day someone was parked in our underground spot. We tried to get assistance instead we had to park 2 blocks away in a tow away zone. Overnight with our rental car I'd stay here again but never rent off expedia..they should have to declare it's a sub renter and not resort direct. Not impressed with them at all.
