Hotel Zed Kelowna

I almost didn't book here because it appears to be a 1950s motel with fresh paint. That would have been a huge mistake. The location is perfect for wandering downtown and the parks by the lake. The room was bright, colorful, and one of the cleanest ever. I couldn't stop being amazed by the updates and upgrades, and all the bright colors kept me smiling. The color matched vw bus in the lot defines the character. I will choose Hotel Zed again over any of the boring up-scale or traditional places to stay in Kelowna. It's different, fun, and a great place.

Loved it !!! Best location good easy check in and check out !! Never had to go to front desk due to the amazing information in side the lobby and room about hotel . Will be back :)

The staff was great and very accommodating. The hot tub was outside and working great. The pool was closed for the season because it’s also outside. Sauna takes awhile to heat up I never could get it working so maybe try that before you go into the hot tub. The heater/fan/a/c unit was obnoxiously loud in the room and right beside the bed. I asked to be moved it was so bad but she said they’re like that in every room. They need to oil the fan or something it was really hard to sleep through. Bed is super comfy and had 4 huge king sized pillows with decent linens. The room was really fun, brightly decorated with a lot of cute little touches and funkiness. It is right across from the lake which is amazing for kelowna. But that also means it’s right downtown and there’s a lot of homeless/crime/sketchiness around so I definitely felt a little uneasy having my vehicle right off the street. It was -20 when I was there and the room stayed warm though. Just didn’t get a chance to explore much.

I love this hotel. Very friendly staff, pet friendly and a beautiful park lakeside with beautiful walk.

Room and stay were great, other than the ac unit. For parents who wanted to finally get some sleep and then couldn’t due to the sound, we were disappointed. Location is fantastic though and staff were helpful.

Our stay at the Zed was great! Lots of cute touches in the rooms, lots to do on the property and endless options for food and shopping just a short walk away. Would recommend and we will definitely be staying here again!

We had an awesome time! Wish we were there longer. The hotel has such a cool vibe to it. Will stay there again.

This place is lipstick on a pig. The large old school heater cycles off and on constantly through the night, and makes the air very dry. The bed sucks. It’s basically an old motel that would have been $60 a night with a fresh coat of paint.

The theme and decor of the hotel was very cool. However, it was not a quiet area. Current construction sites around the corner. The A/C / heating unit in the room made a loud squealing noise every time it kicked in approx every 5-10 mins. The shower also made a loud noise when running. Overall not a horrible experience, however it could have been better.
