I recently stayed at this hotel which left me disappointed due to their shuttle service limitations. While the overall experience was average, the lack of a 24-hour shuttle service proved to be a significant inconvenience, particularly for early morning flights.
One of the key reasons I chose this hotel was because of its location and a shuttle service to the airport. However, upon checking in, I was informed that the shuttle operated only from 7 am onwards. This was highly inconvenient as my flight departure time was earlier. I approached the receptionist to inquire about alternative options, hoping for some flexibility or assistance, but was met with an unhelpful suggestion to order an Uber instead.
Having previously stayed at other hotels near airports, I had come to expect a 24-hour shuttle service as the norm. It was disappointing to find that this particular hotel did not offer the same level of convenience. Given the additional cost associated with using ride-hailing services like Uber, this unforeseen expense was an unwelcome surprise.
In conclusion, if you have early morning flights or rely on a reliable 24-hour shuttle service, I would caution against choosing this particular hotel. I would recommend exploring other nearby options that prioritize customer convenience and provide a more accommodating shuttle service.

Clean and tidy, full of security, beautiful environment, good service attitude, there are ** and various dining and entertainment facilities in the yard, unexpected discoveries and surprises. Recommended to stay, a good choice at a low price!
Very average stay and the room was average too with limited amenities. Breakfast was in line with the room and average as well. Location is great and there are a lot of shops, restaurants and a ****** within the premises. So food is never a problem in this property

Everything was on point at this hotel. No early check in available, but staff was polite in relaying this to me. Room was spotlessly clean and though it was compact, it had everything needed for a comfortable stay for two people. Hotel is near the airport so you do pick up noise from flights - can easily be sorted with ear plugs. The breakfast was a variety filled delight with all palates being catered for. Breakfast area is small though, so plan your mealtime not to coincide with the rush hour. All staff, from security to reception, to housekeeping was friendly and super helpful, though the female staff at the dining room could be friendlier. Plenty of restuarants to eat at the food court/mall. I didnt get to see the entire resort as I was only visiting for one night, but I will definitely be back!

The cleaning staff were making a racket from 6.30 am on a Sunday morning on the 2nd floor. When the bathrooms around room 2203 and being used the plumbing makes a gurgling sound like something blocked. The breakfast area is like a fish market of noise n just chaos. Not idea for couples or young families. It's Zoo out there . Good place for group tours to sleep at .Will stick to Tsogo Sun hotels

We stayed in a Superior King Room for 4 nights while attending a conference at Emperors Palace. Breakfast was good, but we didn't eat at the restuarant at night as the restuarants at Emperor Palace look way more appealing. The room is very small, and as a couple sharing, we were constantly tripping over each other. The toilet cubicle is particularly small, and larger people will probably not be able to close the door. Nobody oftered to help with our luggage, and there was no information booklet in the room which would have been nice to perhaps explain a bit more of the offerings at Emperors Palace. The staff were fine, not overly friendly or rude, but also did not go out of their way for anything. The chef at breakfast was very nice. We made use of the gym which had decent enough treadmills - the suburb of Kempton Park is very industrial, so the area is not great, but I suppose it serves it purpose of being close to OR Tambo Airport. On that note, the shuttle service to the airport works well. For the price, I have stayed at much better establishments, but they obviously have monopoly on location for conferences and proximity to the airport.

I stayed overnight prior to a flight. The room was fine, clean, well equipped, TV had English stations and bed comfy. Breakfast was varied (and very busy!) My issue is the ducted air system. Despite having the AC, fan etc off, the system still blows out air and I found it difficult to sleep as a result as very drying. In the morning, my throat, eyes, mouth and skin were very dry which is unhealthy and unacceptable. My throat and eyes are still uncomfortable and dry a day later despite drinking lots of water and buying saline eye drops.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. During breakfast, my cellphone was taken from the table and hidden in a cupboard by a cleaner. When we called the hotel, they denied any phone being left behind. However, we tracked it using my husband's phone, which led us directly to the restaurant. Despite this, everyone denied seeing the phone. Only after insisting that security check the cameras did a waitress suddenly said she put it in a drawer. Why wasn't it taken directly to reception, as per standard procedure? This incident severely undermined our trust in the hotel's staff and security practices.
