I recently spent one night at OR Tambo Guest House, it was a wonderful time! The staff are very attentive, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and filling. Nelson, recommended by the guesthouse, offers a pick up and drop off service to the airport, he was reliable and I would recommend this stay to anyone who is flying into jhb or departing from jhb in the future!! I’ll be back for sure!

Our experience at OR Tambo Guesthouse was positive and reassuring, particularly for international travel transitions. The airport shuttle service was reliable and helped ease arrival and departure stress. The environment felt secure and organized, which is important when travelling with children. Breakfast was generous and well prepared, with the full English breakfast being especially appreciated. Staff were polite and accommodating, assisting with timing and coordination around flights. The property offers a calm atmosphere close to the airport without feeling overly commercial. It functioned a final departure base, creating a sense of peace to the journey. Overall, OR Tambo Guesthouse delivered reliability, comfort, and good service during critical travel moments.

Great value in an interesting boutique style hotel. I wish we had more time to enjoy it and learn about the history. Surprisingly elegant shower/bath set up.

It was easy to find, and no far from Airport in silent place Territory is big and clean and green It was cold in Johannesburg and we asked for heater for us and it was fulfilled very fast

Review for OR Tambo Guest House I recently stayed at OR Tambo Guest House for three nights and had a great experience. Since my flight arrived very late at night, the staff kindly suggested a driver to pick me up, which was incredibly thoughtful and made my arrival stress-free. The guest house was impeccably clean (5/5), and the service was excellent (5/5) – the staff was friendly, accommodating, and attentive throughout my stay. The location was convenient (4/5), being close to the airport, though not much else is within walking distance. The amenities were decent (4/5), offering all the basics I needed for a comfortable stay. While the aesthetic wasn’t my favorite (3/5), it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Breakfast had limited options, but I wasn’t upset about it – it was enough to start the day. Overall, it’s an affordable place to stay, offering great value for the price. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and convenient spot near OR Tambo Airport.

Not a bad mini-hotel. There is a small area where you can walk. Quiet and safe place. Of the minuses - termites in the room, but after our request they were eliminated quite quickly, no more.

The staff were very helpful and super friendly.the rooms were clean .please provide showers caps in future and aircons

We wanted somethings close to JNB for a one night layover. This was fine for that. My only complaint is that our room was quite cold when we checked in. They gave us a portable heater, but it still too several hours to warm up. Breakfast the next morning was very good.

It was clean, which is essential but very basic. Not even coffee in the room. There's a lot of potential, it seems like a nice place when you get in through the electric gate but once inside, you realize there isn't much. The reception guy was nice enough, though, to prepare us a good breakfast bag since we were leaving before the service started.

Whilst there was a bed & room available to me the photos advertising the place did not truly reflect the accommodation. I will not be staying there again.

the staff are the reason I rate this accommodation highly. they are friendly and ready to assist. Letlotlo went behind his job description , he assisted me change my wheel, as I had a flat tyre the next morning. the water issue gave me so much anxiety, one cannot regulate the tap to take out water one prefer. it's either it's too hot or extremely cold and it stops running for some time. the rooms needs carpets particularly next to the bed because they are extremely cold.

We came to the guest house there was no electricity, no clean linen, the swimming pool was green, no option for alternative accommodation and had to leave there with a refund. I am still waiting for my refund after it has been promised within five days, now it is 21 days. Really the most unprofessional guest house I have ever been to.
