Was a good stay! Nice sunset view and also a view of the animals right from your doorstep. Helpful staff and the airport shuttle service was very convenient! Would stay here again!

The lodge is the perfect place to stay for a 1-night stopover. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower has great pressure. A nice feature is that the tap water here is drinkable. Lovely to see all of the animals in the morning, and the breakfast was really good!

This is our go to place to stay when travelling. Its like a haven of tranquility and peace even though it is so close to the airport. Their prices are very affordable, and this time that we stayed we made a point of going for meals, which were also affordable but quality food. The dining room itself is not well set up, it could do with some revamping, but that did not affect the delicious meals we ate there. We were fetched on time and taken to the airport the following morning, nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they will do anything for you, even coming in the dark to show you how to work the tv! the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool looked very inviting with lovely blue lights at night, so in summer would be fun for the kids. Being winter there was a brazier with a lovely big fire, it was so welcoming and created such a lovely atmosphere. I wish that more people would stay there, as they are definitely missing out on a stay that has value, hospitality and charm.

This place is wonderful .They have a wonderful staff very friendly and hard working you never have to ask for anything .There is a open general kitchen and dinning are where guess can sit ,eat and chat there is also a mini library if you enjoy reading . The grounds is spectacular for walking and you can feed the animals, nice for taking pictures .They are on time with picking you up from the airport. Look just pack your bag and go and if simple is 5 Stars i give that to them .

Only a 15 minute drive away from the usual Johannesburg airport hotel, a great stopover. I had 2nts on my way to Namibia and wished I could have stayed longer. Louise was fabulous on the airport pick up and check in. The girls looking after my room were fabulous and Harry in the kitchen is amazing. Delicious food and great menu variety. I did a day tour today to Apartheid Museum & Soweto and am just so excited to have visited. A great place to stay for families or budget conscious travellers like me. I’ll definitely be back.

Had a nice rest between two long flights in the Airport Bird & Game Lodge. Very peaceful area. Wildlife in the adjacent gated area was lovely. Very kind and friendly staff. Spacious rooms with strong WiFi. Delicious food. The complimentary airport transfers worked well and are an attractive bonus. Excellent value for money!

The rooms are clean, neat and spacious. There are air conditioners in most rooms and fans are provided to those without, providing relief from the summer heat of Joburg. Beds are comfortable. Showers and sinks work properly with good water pressure. I appreciate the built-in blowdryer in the bathrooms. The garden is lovely, boasting a clean pool, sights of ducks and springboks, shaded seating areas and workout stations for pilates, yoga, boxing and strength training. From breakfast to dinner, the food is tantalising. Props to the chef! The staff are friendly and fulfilled all our requests timeously. The cleaning, food delivery and utility assistance is satisfactory. There is ample parking space. The check in-and-out is easy. The accommodation has an accessible location, being close to the airport and busier areas of Kempton Park whilst still maintaining a quiet and natural atmosphere. It is definitely worth the cost and I highly recommend for anyone looking for a hassle-free and peaceful stay.

Clean, near OR Tambo. Good sleepover. Friendly service, Garden peaceful, Rooms have all that you will need. Will visit again.

This is the second time a colleague form China Mr. Liu Tao has stayed at Airport Game Lodge for a period of 2 weeks. The lodge is very neat and the staff are all super friendly and helpful, the rates are very affordable. The opportunity to sit and view various buck from your room everyday is also superb. Lastly the breakfast served daily by Monica is wonderful.

Lovely stay close to the airport. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. A nice garden to wander around and to look at the animals too. Reliable and comfortable pick up and drop off. Breakfast at an extra charge but worthwhile as it´s a separate business supporting a local woman who puts effort into her breakfast and even organized some vegan milk for me. No one here is shy to walk the extra mile for their guests which is what true hospitality is about. My only challenge was the mosquitos in the room but I am sure they would have attended to those too had I raised the issue early enough. Many blessings to all involved!
