An Bruachan B&B

An angel on the Kerry Way. We were walking the Kerry Way, the long stretch from Sneem (36km), I rang Julia to let her know our time off arrival and she immediately hopped in her car to pick us up when we " hit the tarmac". at the bottom off the hill. In the evening, Julia dropped us at a Pub to get some food. So attentive, we were very tired. The B&B is a lovely place with a very beautiful garden. You will feel very comfortable. Julia and Efna prepared our breakfast, Efna is the sweetest person and the breakfast is delicious. In the morning, Julia dropped us at a point to get on the Way again, but first stopped at a shop to get some snacks. She is very concerned about her guests. Best place to stay, especially when you are walking the Kerry Way. We wish Julia and Efna all the best.

Absolutely a hidden Gem of a B&B..! The owner( I think name is Clare?) and her friend that did breakfast…! 11 vintage bikers stayed at the same time.. added to our experience too..! Really comfy beds, clean & lovely bathrooms breakfast was very good& friendly almost like mom was cooking for you..!! Also fantastic value don’t miss this one..!

From the moment we arrived until two days later when we hated to leave, we enjoyed our time with Julia (I'm ready to get back right now) . The home in itself is a "showplace" but, above all else..It's Julia that tops the cake here. Her genuine friendliness, knowledge and laughter make you want to stay longer I know we did..Perfect spot for a day on the Beara Ring and then setting off for Kerry..also the closeness to Kenmare make it superb location..Breakfast is awesome too. Thanks Julia, we totally enjoyed An Bruachan.! xoxo

A lovely home by a bubbling brook, beautifully decorated, with comfy beds and a lovely breakfast! A home away from home! An will even “mother you” by giving advice or scolding you if you’re late. All part of the Irish experience! I enjoyed every minute :)

Old fashioned greeting with all the pleasantries that one would expect . A very helpful and fun lady . The premises were very clean and the breakfast was plentiful. A very nice just out of town . Even a lift into town for our evening meal . Thank you to a lovely lady.

Host Julia was welcoming, warm and full of fabulous suggestions to add to my itinerary. Her library is amazing and she is generous in allowing guests to borrow books. I stayed in the Twin Room (solo traveler) for 7 nights and it was comfortable, spotless, tided up daily and had a beautiful view of the brook behind the house (and a calming soundtrack at night). My entire stay was peaceful and absolutely wonderful. The other guests were courteous, respectful and friendly. Breakfast daily was delicious and varied. It's a short walk into town on a paved sidewalk and Kenmare makes an amazing base to visit many wonderful things in County Kerry. Would highly recommend and will book another stay when I return to Ireland again. :)
