Contempra Inn

This motel is special: I’m a motel fan and it is the first motel I’ve ever see that goes with an elevator! it gave me both a surprise and delight that I could easily carry my luggage to the second floor. You can tell the owner knows how to do business: it’s TV is even larger than the one I lived in downtown NOLA—and most important of all, the TV is working very well. Before switching to this motel, I lived in Aloft New Orleans Downtown for 3 nights, with nightly rate above $200, yet I felt quite inconvenient because Aloft lacked this and that. So really, amenities can be new or old, but the sense of the owner to invest in essentials to provide convenience does not necessarily mean that these things have to be “fancy” (but useless). While I wouldn’t say the level of cleanliness was also super—it was ok (though the blankets could have been nicer)—but overall in the world of motels, this one makes me feel that the owner does intend to offer you some needed service.

Perfect location and clean rooms. Good for Business Travelers in the city.

Its was a place to lay your head before heading into the quarter or other places in NOLA. Especially if your flight gets in late

Room was just ok. Location was good, room smelled like bug spray. Basic economy hotel overall. But we did enjoy our stay and would book. Staff was excellent and professional at all times.

This hotel was perfect for my business trip. Staff was friendly and the hotel met all my needs. The hotel had a comfy bed, cold AC, warm blankets, a full size fridge and microwave. As I said, for a place to rest your head for the night it was great. The lack of pool, restaurant, and bar might turn away a family of 4 on a summer vacation, but for a weekend business trip I could not ask for more. I will stay here again without hesitation. There is also a friendly white cat that polices the property. He was awesome.

Managed to get a room for new years weekend. Close to everything we wanted (good food and entertainment). Back area is a little tight for parking, and the rooms could use some fresh paint. But it was clean, spacious room, I felt very safe. Will definitely be staying here again next time I'm in town.

This is a no-frill hotel that is clean. You get an email ahead of time so you know what to expect and what to bring (ex hair dryer). Knowing that, our expectations were set. There were no surprises. It's only about a block from a bus stop so we took that into New Orleans. I heard walking from someone above us but it ended quickly and not too late. The pillows could have been a little more comfortable but you get four. This was a good stop for us and for the money. If you're just wanting a place to sleep and shower, it's good. If you want a pool and breakfast, it's not that hotel. They do have a full size refrigerator though.

Will definitely use again. Price was awesome. Once I figured out the u-turn to get there it was ok. Room was clean, newer bathroom, bed was comfortable!

We had 3 rooms some checked in and weren't happy but waited a few hours for the rest of the party. Rooms weren't very clean and smelled like mold so bad that one room had a wet bed from all the moisture in the room. Once they arrived and found roaches in the room everyone was out! Hotel wouldn't refund the 1st night and I'm not syre the second night hasn refunded yet.
