⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Key Lime Sailing Club was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and completely relaxed. The property has a unique "Old Florida" charm that you just can't find at big resorts. It's peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect place to unwind. The cottages were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and having access to sailboats, kayaks, paddleboards, snorkeling gear, and other water activities made the experience even more special. Watching the sunsets from the property was breathtaking, and being able to walk to nearby restaurants was an added bonus. What really sets this place apart is the incredible staff. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure we had an amazing vacation. Their hospitality made us feel like family. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with adventure, stunning views, and a laid-back Keys atmosphere, this is the place. We made memories that will last a lifetime and are already planning our next trip back. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Key Largo!

This was exactly what we wanted!! Off the beaten path, relaxing (took a two hour nap in the hammock by the tiki hut ;) ). Everybody was so friendly! Even offered to let us take out a sailboat!! So many cool things we could use, canoes, water bike, paddle boards.... Jenn the property manager, was so friendly and said she's fixing up the cottages one by one!
Response from Property: Thank you, Kelli! We love that you appreciated everything we have to offer here at Key Largo Cottages. We hope to see you again someday!

What a wonderful unique experience. We stayed in the Sailfish cottage with a view of the water and fun outdoors shower. The grounds have pet squirrels and iguanas along with fun items tucked in amongst the landscape. Room was clean and the staff was very responsive to our requests. We tried out all the water toys. We used the sailboat two days. There are several restaurants that are walkable from the club.

We just got back home after another wonderful 2 week stay at Key Lime. We love it here, this was our 7th year in a row coming and enjoying this unique sailing resort. We come for the sailing, but there are so many other enjoyable water things to do! The cottages are charming, clean, well equipped, good beds (important) and the relaxing atmosphere is very special. The turquoise water is a joy to sail in with a large expanse of area to sail. The staff, especially Jenn and Chuck, whom we mostly interacted with this year, have become our friends….they cannot do enough for us to make our stay so enjoyable. We hope and plan to make Key Lime our annual winter destination for a long time to come.

Waited a year to finally book this and it was amazing. Way better than I expected in every aspect. Helped me finalize the life changing decision to move to Key West. Can't say enough good stuff about the team, the equipment, coordination, facilities, etc. Was the greatest experience. Do yourself a favor.

Perhaps it was just my wife and I - but it would appear something has gone horribly wrong here. We exited as quickly as we could after a 4 hour drive to get there. Staying only only one grim night of the two we had bought and paid for; and had no hope of refund for. Left some 300 + dollars behind just to move on as soon as we could. Never done that before... To begin with - there was zero signage on RT 1 South where they are located. Zero. We did three difficult highway about faces and had to call to determine where they might possibly be after a long day on the road. Jenn (the only reason for any 'stars' beyond zero) answered and went up to the road side to flag us in. Her guidance included the advice to look for a orange pick-up truck with a boat on a trailer as an indication as to where to pull in when headed south. Sure enuff - that was reasonably true. And along with that dead truck and trailer were literally dozens of other derelict vehicles and boats and substantial other debris/trash that the owner (perhaps his name is Paul) had evidently hoarded over the decades he appears to have been running this place into the ground. You get to drive through the midst of it all to get into what might be called the "resort". My spouse and I a mere 70 - but we have never, ever seen anything like it. Our room was called "Wyoming" and had a ceiling height of perhaps 7 feet. Dark and dirty throughout - with the sole windows facing a picket fence a couple feet away. Tiny, grimy outdoor area with nothing to draw one there. The whole place was quite something. Right down the sink - that sported multiple cracks - in the bathroom that doubled kinda as a shower. I could go on and on but you get the drift. Again: this mistake cost us over 700$. Their emails when I booked the reservation made it painfully clear that refunds were not going to happen at this point. I am a boat captain by trade and the sailing vessels they had for rent looked sketchy - but I did not want to go aboard nor get very close. One of the two little piers was an accident looking to happen for sure. Basically falling none too slowly into the bay. If Florida was paying any attention they would shut this place down el pronto before someone gets hurt or sick. To pass this off as "old Florida" is a serious insult to what used to be in this state. My earliest experiences in Florida were in the sixties - so I have some recollections still - and they are indeed fond ones. This is just a sadly rundown property that has lazily disregarded the concept of maintenance and bringing any degree of customer satisfaction. They sent me an email asking me to share my 'Key Lime Sailing Club Memories' so this is what comes of it. Sorry to be so harsh - I/we have never been so harsh before - but this was a first for us in several ways. I wish you all well in your travels. David

The location was great and the staff were nice. The boats are in such a state of disrepair they were unusable. There was so much growth on the bottom of the boat that we couldn’t get enough speed to maneuver. If you have no intention of sailing it’s a great place but if you want to sail make sure the boats are in proper condition!

Key Lime Sailing is the perfect getaway for sailors. The facilities are rustic, but they are clean, and everything works. The staff is friendly and attentive. The location is central but quiet, and the beach and the sailing are wonderful!

This place is pure magic. Waterfront, sunsets, water sports. What more do you want? They have it. It is a super chill vibe. No loud music. Just mellow waves and the hum of a few Bluetooth speakers from fellow guests on their respective porches that you’ll only hear if you want to. Our house was so spotless, we could have eaten off the floor. The kitchen was fully stocked to make any meal you want for a week. Coffee maker = check. Filters = check. Beach towels= check. Fluffy bath towels equivalent to a st Regis= check. The set up allows you to engage with the staff and other guests as little or as much as you want. Walking distance to a ton of restaurants. Instacart is available and the stores are very close by for provisions. We stayed in the captains cottage, the 37’ catamaran and the jungle room. We toured the owners cottage and it was amazing. Jen is a master, navigating the entire property with ease, live and diligence to make the magic happen seamlessly. The whole team is eager to make your stay memorable. Celebrating a special occasion? Tell them, they’ll add to your magic. The equipment was well loved but we had no issues and witnessed none from other guests during our stay. We cannot wait to come back soon!!! This is a one of a kind, don’t miss experience!!!

Not high end with no frills-bring your own soap-but clean and situated on a beautiful sound once you get through the junkyard entrance. The staff were excellent. Friendly, helpful, available. I would give them 5 stars. The boats and equipment not so much. These are old Catalina 22s that are jimmy rigged and some need CPR. Pros-great sailing venue on beautiful Buttonwood Sound, clean, inexpensive, great staff. Cons boats and equipment need major maintenance.

The Key Lime Sailing Club is an amazing and wonderful place. We returned in December after enjoying 2 vacations there 15 and 16 years ago. It is every bit as terrific now as in the past, (maybe even better!). The water, the boats(kayaks, canoes, paddle boards , a sunfish, a hobie cat, a sailboat for every cottage),the manatees and birds, the entirely relaxed atmosphere, cooking and grilling options, comfortable beds, lots of towels, nearby places to buy fresh fish, (very fresh) and have cocktails. The entire staff is attentive and ready to help with anything that's needed. Jen, the property manager, is there for absolutely everything(with a great sense of humor). Chuck, the dock master, has boating under control. There were several other staff members who were there to drive the launch, cut extra lines, service the engines and generally, keep things tidy and running well. We are a family of 7 adults - our vacation at KLSC was as good as it gets. Thanks from all of us, Lee.

Had a fantastic time working on my sailing skills for a week at Key Lime Sailing Club. My instructor John was fantastic and I feel like I learned a ton in my course and sailing time. I loved the cottages and location of the club and the staff (esp Jenn and Chuck) were extremely helpful. Highly recommend!
