Best Hotels with bar in Khlong Sok

The photo that promotes this hotel on trip.com features a lake and raft houses on the lake. This is not the reality for this hotel, although it does provide tours that visit this lake, and so initial expectations were not met. However if you want my review of the actual hotel, here goes. The family run hotel provides a cool place to stay for physically fit guests and people who do not suffer too badly with vertigo. All the rooms are tree houses, reached by narrow walkways through the subforest at different levels. The rooms vary in size and height to suit everyone, from 4m to 15m up in the trees. Central to the complex is a nice outdoor pool. I loved it, but remember in humid tropical locations infrastructure does not last long, so don't get upset if a table collapsed or a handrail comes adrift, there is a guy who fixes everything. Food available all day, home cooked and reasonably priced. The hotel.is only 2km from the park gates so location, location, location. But definitely no lake!

The best place we've stayed in Thailand! The reasons: • Incredible setting, surrounded by the jungle, limestone cliffs and a turquoise river that runs through the accomodation. • Outstanding staff! ❤️ The staff was just next level here, attentive, kind, willing to help or just have a chat. We felt like part of the group here, like actual guests not just tourists. • Khao Sok activities: Within the accomodation they can find activities for you to do. • Food! The local food was delicious at their restaurant. • The treehouses are adorable, clean and comfortable and sleeping with the jungle sounds at night was definitely a highlight! Thank you everyone at Art's for making our stay so special, we will definitely come back :)

We have just completed a wonderful stay here. The setting, overlooking the Khao Sok rain forest and overlooking the river, is simply magical. The rooms are pretty small, but lovely, clean and air conditioned. The restaurant has a relatively limited range, but the food is delicious and great value - helpful because unless you have your own transport you are relatively cut off. But for 3 days, it was a simple, tranquil, idyllic base for our Khao Sok excursions. Most of all, the staff were a delight - so friendly, helpful and welcoming. It's a pretty intimate stay, where you are with the staff a lot through all your meals, but that suited us, and we were sorry to leave, and very grateful for the warmth and hospitality that we received during our stay.

Ning is an absolute superstar, she organised a fantastic trip for us in the National Park with an overnight stay in a water bungalow - although basic it was very comfortable with a spectacular location and delicious food. We saw elephants, flying fox bats & even otters. She then organised a lovely room for us at the Royal Bamboo Lodge which was so comfortable with beautiful exotice flowers, a great pool and we even got to meet some of the local monkeys. I left my shorts drying at the bungalow and Ning posted them to Bangkok for me and they arrived the following day! Cannot recommend this place enough if you're visiting Khao Sok & looking for a very memorable trip to the National Park. Thanks Ning 🙏

On the hotel street of Khao Sok National Park is this lovely hotel. The room is really functional. At that price it really is a gem. The staff is really very friendly. They will not hesitate to offer you excursions to visit the national park. It really is a golden address to visit the area.

Fantastic visit, the best part of our travels across Thailand. The setup in the jungle is perfect, scenic with a good restaurant that offers a range of Thai and western dishes for more than reasonable prices, as well as a bar in the evening. This was an authentic experience living in the jungle, no air con, close to nature, and animal sounds through the night. If you expect a luxury stay then you may be disappointed but for us this was incredible. The use of local guides and expertise from bamboo cooking to night safari is second to none. We booked the 4D3N active package. We arranged transfers through Our Jungle House and couldn't fault them at all, comfortable and quick. We swapped the second day hike for the elephant experience (which was the best activity!). All the activities exceeded our expectations. Our package came with a lot of meals included and worked out to be good value for money when you factored in all the activities. The lake visit was another highlight, the views were stunning and boat rides were very scenic. We were part of a larger group for this part and the accommodation and food was basic but no less enjoyable. Would recommend to those wanting to add a little bit of adventure to their trips, the flexibility to be able to change and do different trip was great. Also met and saw lots of families as well as they offer different trips suitable for all ages.

This resort is all about the experience, not luxury. We booked a 3 day/2 night Rainforest Package and wow, we have so many fantastic memories of our stay. It was jam-packed with activities and was such good value for money - we kayaked down the river the first afternoon, did a night safari hike that evening with knowledgeable guide. On Day 2 we spent a whole day on the utterly stunning Cheow Lan Lake (including a magnificent lunch on the lake and tubing and swimming), and on Day 3 we visited the Rommanee Hot Springs before leaving at midday. The cabins are basic with no aircon, mini fridge or TV but are still fully functional, have hot water, the fan was adequate and the mosquito net was useful (although we did bring some mosquito coils with us for added protection). The staff were all so lovely but a special mention has to go to Arm and Bee who were both so smiley and helpful. The restaurant has lots of rustic charm being right above the river and the food was really great, so tasty. I just loved the above ground walkways everywhere so no jungle foliage was damaged or disturbed. All communication before our stay was so easy and efficient and our pick up from Ao Nang was perfect and cheaper than arranging an Ao Nang taxi to get us there. They also provide a shuttle service into the local town but goodness knows when you'd have time to go there! If you don't mind forfeiting luxury for rustic charm and a jam-packed experience, then I fully recommend this lovely resort.

Very liked. I can't judge by location, on the car kilometer there, kilometer here does not play a big role. Parking is. Staff responsive. Original design of houses. Clean, comfortable, thoughtful. Water in abundance. Very important is the shower. In the previous place, it didn't even cause the desire to come in, but here it was clean. There was one minus - the bats, then how they were eating for quite a long time at sunset. But as dark, it became quiet. And, well, not very successful location of the air conditioner. I had to sleep with open doors, but from the livelihood from the street on the doors of the special net. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant near the hotel. Not a special gurman, I prefer home food. There was no special delight in the food, but everything was edible and relatively delicious. I will conclude: even though, like a small minus, if we are still in these regions we will still stay in this hotel.

We’ve had a wonderful 4 days staying in this beautiful rainforest. The staff are brilliant and have organised all our trips for us which are just brilliant and a lovely experience, from cycling and visiting local villages in the jungle and seeing how they live and work, seeing how rubber is made coffee beans all the herbs and spices grown in the gardens to produce all the amazing food. The elephant sanctuary - a small local place that has orphaned just two special elephants and we had the privilege of one to one with them..bamboo rafting such a calming experience, to the most amazing day on the lakes. We also did both cooking experiences, visited an organic farm and participated in cooking all our own food and the processes involved and did the jungle dinner night - this was also lots of fun & we met some amazing people doing this, but all the trips were small groups so really good. Lekky - front of house was ever so helpful and personable. We had a problem with our first lodge so he went out of his way to ensure we were happy and moved our room on the 1st day, he was also the person to organise the trips ensuring great communication throughout all our trips. The breakfast is good, plenty of choice and highly recommend trying their cocktails. The views from the lodges and communal areas are lovely and so tranquil. The lodges are super clean and the beds are lovely and comfortable. Just a couple of suggestions would personally be: Some seating area in the lodges as only outside seating provided, but plenty of lovely space to relax in the communal areas. The bathrooms could do with a little spruce up all the taps are very loose!! But it is the jungle. Maybe a hand towel in the bathroom could be handy especially for us woman! But overall a fantastic experience and we have created the best memories here. Thank you.
