We had a fantastic day, from start to finish could not fault anything. Staci and the team excelled in all areas, friendliness, professional at all times. The wedding was amazing and went so smooth , all our guests loved the venue, food, and staff! A big thank you for making our day so special! Steve and Neil.

Visited on a snowy day and were greeted and guided to sofas for a pre dinner drink by the lovely fireplace in the room where we got married a few years ago.! Lovely friendly staff and great three course Sunday lunch. It’s a fabulous venue for a special occasion, the rooms are so comfortable and the grounds beautiful m.

Beautiful location and buildings. Amazing gardens with a huge pond. Very pleasing on the eye. The room I am in is superb (10/10). Room 2. A warm welcome especially as I am travelling solo and often I get 2nd class treatment for this. But here they are lovely. Bar excellent. Restaurant excellent. Room unbelievable. What a bath!! You will love it

I visited for Boxing Day lunch. Room was nice, but not that warm. The head waitress was charming. Disappointed with virtual crackers (very cheap and tacky). The service was good and attentive. The starter was duck terrine. This was very boring and dry, no contrast of texture (screaming out for Melba toast etc.. and needed a chutney also. Beef for main was ok. Vegetables were uninspiring. Basic carrots with 2 x poor roast potatoes. Sprouts x 2 and probably the worst cauliflower cheese I have tasted. Tasteless, not indulgent and no seasoning. Plum soufflé was the the highlight. At £79.95 per person for the uninspiring food very expensive.

Pre-Christmas Dinner, we do like Brockencote very much but tonight the service was a bit hit and miss.(not sure if the staff were temps or what) The slickness of service was lacking! Do hope they manage to up their standard of excellent service again. Food without question was as delicious as always, a varied and different menu no problems there.

We stayed for our anniversary. From the moment we stepped through the door, the staff couldn't do enough for us. The room was lovely. We stayed in Maple which was immaculate. The bed was superking and so comfortable and the bathroom was massive! We had dinner in the restaurant. We had the 9 course taster menu with wine pairing. One word - Wow! Every course was sublime and the service was second to none. The staff are very young; one of our waiters was Harry who was only 19, but he was professional, friendly and so knowledgeable as a sommelier. If he was my son, I'd be so proud of him. He'll go far, I'm sure, as will the many other young waiters and waitresses. Breakfast was very nice and lots of variety. All in all, highly recommend.

After booking a different hotel 18 months before our wedding and then being let down and canceling that venue we went to Brockencote on the off chance they may have something available, we met Staci the wedding and events manager, she showed us around a couple of the Feature Rooms then booked us in for 3 nights, we got married off site and had our wedding breakfast locally but that didn't matter to the hotel or it’s amazing staff, from check-in on Friday afternoon with Angela on reception they made us feel so welcome and really couldn't do enough for us, Saturday morning I returned back to the hotel to pick up the grooms car and Angela was amazing and helped with our buttonholes (after I had pricked my finger and got blood on my flower) we was allowed to use the hotel and grounds for photos with our photographer which was fantastic and we was very grateful for this, Jack the general manager was at breakfast and he really was a lovely young man, looked so calm and just glided around room as of nothing bothered him and everything was a pleasure for him to do, Staci, Angela and Jack are a real credit to this hotel, then there were the waitresses and the barman (sorry we didn't get their names) all very helpful attentitove and attention to detail, a pleasure to have them helping us. All in all, if you book this place we can promise you will not be disappointed, we was very lucky with the weather and could wonder around the grounds and sit by the lake and Dovedale (boathouse) it was a lovely walk around the estate, we see the beehives, horses, walked through the sheep (that was looking at us strangely)haha then to the secret garden, tennis court then the croquet lawn. If we were to do our wedding again and wanted to book a venue, there would be no decision to make, it would be here hands down and we will defiantly be returning and recommending hotel to family and friends. Once again, thank you thank you for making our weekend so special. Scott and Tina ❤️❤️
