Booked one big bed on my 6 nights boo I g in this hotel but sorry ONLY two single beds clumped together!!! & plus these single beds short in length(part of your feet outside the bed!!!) And the bed cover exactly the same!! The air-conditioning not central.. Room furniture not five star hotel...!

Senator City Center was an incredible expierence for me, especially during a summer vacation. The good thing to say is a special location in a cozy courtyard of the Kyiv historical center, which allows you to stay in a complete silence as long as you want, having a nice rest from exploring the wonderful capital of Ukraine. Every personnel member, including administrators and houskeepers, was doing a great job providing me with everything I needed in order to be familiar with local attractions and services I could take to make my stay even more amazing. Regardless of your travelling purpose, I strongly recommend you to visit Senator City Center.

With my visit of Senator City Center in June of 2021, upon entrance of the hotel I was immediately greeted by friendly staff that not only introduced everything to me but also helped me with my heavy luggage after a long flight from Miami. I was given a beautiful one bedroom apartment that had all the necessary utilities. Everything was clean and in perfect working conditions. The kitchen was modern and perfect and the design of the apartment overall is astonishing. It was obvious that they care about details. However, not only was everything aesthetically pleasing, but I also received a great amount of different help and service which made my stay more enjoyable. The housekeeping would often clean my apartment and even do the dishes for me. The front desk was rather helpful in guiding me around the city of Kiev and letting me know about the best places to visit in the area. I noticed that the staff was genuinely nice and wanting to help any guest. Staying at Senator City Center made my visit of Kyiv, Ukraine a wonderful experience.

Definitely one of the best places I've ever stayed in Kyiv. Extremely clean rooms, large bed, full set of kitchen devices, large bath room and a balcony. We had a quiet room on the 3th floor, with a courtyard view, out of street noise. There are some parking lots inside, you can ask the staff to book a place there for free, so you don't need to keep your car on the street. Near the place there are a lot of cafes, restaurants and sightseeing destinations. The girls at the reception were so kind that they even helped us organize tour arond the Kyiv. It's an awesome cozy place to stay, I highly recommend it.

I stayed here from 15-18 November, partly because I had family staying nearby and partly because of the great reviews. I was aware that I’d booked a basement room with limited view and the lowest priced room there, however, as I rarely spend much time in a room, this didn’t overly concern me as it appeared from the photos to be similar to the more expensive rooms.

The reason for the 1 star rating then is based on a few things, but they all add up to the overall experience.

Firstly check in. Having to sign my signature 4 or 5 times for the registration is a little annoying and using a shared pen in the current climate not ideal. I have no idea why it was necessary after booking online, or what I even signed either, as I felt a bit rushed.

Secondly, the appearance of the room. The picture above the bed was slanted, the bathroom had broken blinds overlooking a storage area and people on the street who could look into the bathroom, even with the blinds shut it seems - if the room was lit up in the evening. Not the most private then with a toilet facing the window as well as a bathtub right under it.

The 'limited view of the courtyard' description basically meant a window in the bathroom, not the bedroom. Speaking of which, the bath was a jacuzzi which I thought was a nice touch (even though i'd rarely use one) but it didn’t appear to work. I pressed every button and fiddled with the tap levers etc. It had a working shower attachment though, but nowhere to hang it for a standing shower, so shower time was spent in a sitting position in the tub.

Also the fridge in the room was pretty noisy. It sounded like something rather large was inhaling and exhaling in the room. This was continuous throughout my entire 3 night stay, all night and presumably all day. I took video footage as it was so strange.

Reception was lukewarm mostly. Certainly better in main working hours (sometime after 7:45am until maybe 17:00 or so, but mostly an unemotional stare was my greeting at the times I passed through.
Perhaps my wearing of a mask as per city requirements was the cause, but certainly not the friendly reception i've read about in some comments.
The absolute worst thing for me though was the glass coffee table near my bed. In the darkness of night (the first night of 3) I managed to walk into it moving from my bed to the bathroom and taking a hard knock to my knee that had me rolling around in agony for a while. I found the light switch (away from the bed) and could see heavy scuffing of the knee. I then positioned the 2 soft chairs to protect myself from it happening again. This absolutely spoiled my trip as I love walking and exploring everywhere I go and typically walk 30-40k a day in a big city such as Kyiv, but my knee was in pain after around 5-10km of walking and finished off by around 20km, with me limping and walking a step at a time up and down stairs. This spoiled my time in Kyiv and my 2 day tour of Chernobyl the following 2 day

Absolutely freezing inside the apartment specially the bedroom and bathroom. Really courteous and helpful staff but that doesn't matter when the apartment is freezing despite central heating.

Arrived to a dirty room.. Sink is in the room, shower and toilet are separate. Sink in the room was definetly strange to see. Reception staff was great though, very helpful.. the cleaner was sent to clean the room straight away..perfect location as well.. Will be ok for 2-3 nights if you don't plan to stay in the room a lot. But then why to pay these money if you dont to sleep in there only. Bed and bedding were perfect. However overall I would say overpriced for that you get. By the way - staff said they dont have starts as it is apart hotel.. so why is this place is being advertised as 4 starts then?
