Our stay at Governor's Residence in Kigali was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff demonstrated outstanding professionalism, warmth and attention to detail that made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. The service was impeccable throughout our stay. Every team member was friendly, courteous, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure comfort and satisfaction. Their personalized approach created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and homely. In particular we would like to mention Edson and Gloria for the impeccable service throughout. Gloria even upgraded us to the best room in the hotel!! Cleanliness deserves special recognition. The rooms and common areas were spotless, well-maintained, and beautifully presented. Housekeeping consistently delivered a high standard of care, making the entire property feel fresh, comfortable, and inviting. The food was another highlight. Every breakfast was very well prepared and the menu offered a wonderful variety of delicious options, with fresh and carefully selected ingredients. It provided a perfect start to each day. The location is ideal for both business and leisure travellers, offering convenient access to key areas of Kigali while maintaining a peaceful and relaxing environment. The property itself is elegant, secure, and thoughtfully designed, making it a wonderful place to unwind after a busy day. Beautiful property and amazing staff. Jane was a fantastic hostess. The restaurant was delicious. The view amazing. Lounges, libraries, tennis court, basketball court, swimming pool along with natural foliage atrracting many pretty birds. If I had to complain, the bath towels were a bit rough. We will stay here again.

This is a wonderful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Kigali. It is very private and the rooms are comfortable. The staff is warm and committed to meeting all of your needs. It’s a great spot to stay if you are tired after a long international flight and need rest before headed out on a safari! I highly recommend it.

What a great reception we had. We checked in from an early morning flight, and our rooms were ready, and they even offered us a free tasty breakfast a la carte. The boutique hotel is perfectly located in the posh Kimihurura neighborhood, and for lunch or evening outings there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The lush garden is beautiful, and the area is very quiet in the night. My new favorite boutique hotel in Kigali, looking forward to come back in June. Kudos to the management, well trained staff and so much attention to detail in the public and room spaces.

i stayed here for 1 night but i wish i was here for more than 3 nights jane was very lovely and receptive the breakfast was great and i loved it so much before i started my trip to volcanoes i would highly recommend it in ruanda if anyone is coming to kigali

It’s all about the service!! Everything was fabulous. Special mentions to Vanessa, Edison and Miss Gloria. 1st class! I have nothing else to add but apparently I need a minimum of 200 characters! If you cannot get your point across in 100 characters..sheesh.

Thank you so very much to the amazing team at this beautiful property for making my stay unforgettable. The rooms, gardens and public areas are tastefully designed and invite you to stay longer. There is a feeling of calmness present everywhere. The staff also deserves praise, they are simply outstanding. Lastly I have to mention the meals. Oh my, the chef is a magician!! I stayed for almost a week and every single meal was delicious. My favourite was the home made spinach soup. I have stayed at many different places in Kigali over the years, this guesthouse is by far my number 1, without a doubt. Thank you to everyone for making my stay memorable, I will be back!

Governor's Residence is a haven to escape busy Kigali and enjoy the fantastic quiet view over the city. Every day we were longing for getting back to the peacefulness of the place. The staff are attentive without being intrusive. They just appeared out of nowhere when we were needing them.

We recently spent time at the Governor’s Residence in Kigali on our way back home after three weeks working and traveling in Rwanda and Kenya. We were able to celebrate my birthday here and rest and just unwind. What a beautiful property with a lovely pool and beautiful landscaping. We stayed in the large suite off of the lobby and the room was just beautiful. We had more space than we could use, with every amenity. We wish we could have stayed longer. The best part of the stay was the friendly and professional staff. We came in at 200 am and the staff was waiting and accommodating even at the late hour. The food and service in the restaurant was just outstanding. The menu changed daily and we were always pleased with our choices. We also loved the bartender who was quite skilled and game to try something new. We hope this lovely, quiet escape from the big city continues pampering many more happy guests. We hope to return on our next trip to Rwanda.
