Welcome to The Casita, our Mediterranean inspired beach bungalow in the Outer Banks. The vision for this home came about after we traveled in Europe and fell in love with the calming, slow-paced lifestyle of villages along the coast, mixed with rich architecture focused on natural elements & a soothing palettes. The home affords an open concept living & kitchen space, 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds & 1 luxurious bathroom. There are 2 bedrooms in the home, both with queen sized beds and a dresser/ armoire, as well as a TV equipped with Amazon Firesticks. The main living space offers a deep, comfy sofa perfect for afternoon naps as you feel the summer breezes flowing through the home. The kitchen is fully stocked and has a central island perfect for gathering around and spending time with friends and family. The kitchen is also equipped with a washer and dryer for guest use. The backyard is perfect for all of your outdoor activities. Enjoy relaxing in the hammock or the lounge chairs during the day, or have a BBQ with the grill and picnic table under the string lights in the evening. Finish your night by gathering around the fire pit under the stars. And finally, no matter what time of the day, the rain head outdoor shower is perfect for cooling off and relaxing. For safety purposes we recommend that you head to 5th Street or Hayman during the busier times of the year because those access points have a stop light with a crosswalk to cross N Croatan which can be busy during peak times. As for the Avalon Pier access, if you walk straight down Sportsman to the beach, you can access to the right of the pier entrance! Kitty Hawk Bay is due West from our house down Sportsman. We highly recommend you head down that way for sunsets at night, but also at anytime during the day because the Bay Drive trail runs along the bay for several miles in each direction. You can use this for walking, running, biking, but it also leads to the Avalon Beach Kitty Hawk Bay Boat Launch where you can launch boats, jetskis, canoes, kayaks, etc. The shed in the backyard will have 3-4 bikes for your use. Also in the shed is a Solo stove fire pit for your use (wood not included). We also have a paddle board that we provide at your request. Beautiful property, loved the backyard. Had a lonely family vacation! The estuary was very lovely to walk and bike along, and the ocean is walking distance to the house!

Long weekend family stay The Casita is beautiful! Just as described and pictured. The house was very clean. It was well appointed with everything we needed. I reached out to Taylor because it seemed like the air conditioning units were not working…and they had someone come out that day to look at them and fix it! Very quick and easy communication. We also loved using the bikes to get to the beach… and there were two beach chairs available too! We would definitely stay at the Casita again!
