Killarney View House B&B

It was less than satisfactory . For the price they charged it was really bad. We expected much better for this price and the pictures are nothing like the reality. Very basic and depressing rooms. Shower would not clean you, a dribble at best. No soap in bathrooms, glasses but not water. Bed was damp.

The worst experience ever! We stayed here on a Friday in Dec after attending a wedding in a nearby hotel. My husband checked us in and returned to meet me at the local hotel to tell me that the accommodation is shockingly poor. I told him it would be fine as it's only 1 night but when we got back to the hotel room, the room was absolutely baltic! The carpet, bed and duvet felt damp and there was no heat in the room. When I felt the radiator, it was tepid at best. There was no soap provided, just a miniature body wash bottle left on the bed. The sink was in the bedroom while the toilet & shower were in another tiny room. The window was single paned and by the morning it had condensation dripping down the inside. All the guests at the breakfast the following morning were discussing how bad the cold was in the BnB. I've never experienced anything as poor in my life. Never again!

This was a beautiful place to stay! Scenic views from our windows, clean facility, so easy to walk to anything in Killarney. We had a great stay at this bed and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and super patient with our toddlers during breakfast times. We genuinely enjoyed everything about this stay.

We cannot recommend this place at all. Room number 2 (in August) was very damp and smelt it. As a consequence, in the mornings our clothes hanging in the open closet were damp as well. The breakfast was good and the staff at breakfast were courteous, friendly and helpful. However, there were no tea making facilities in the room, which is a bit miserly. Regrettably, this venue is trading on its location in Killarney so obviously doesn't feel the need to provide the basic level of accommodation - if room N0. 2 is anything to go by. So, as a couple resident in Ireland we found this very poor value for money indeed. We will not be back!

The location is really good near to Killarney city and the Celtic dance show. You also have a lot of sights around you - both in the city, The National park and the Ring of Kerry, so you can spend many days here. The B&B was both good and terrible.... We got a very, very small room to begin with. The windows closed very badly, so you heard the noise from the road just outside very clearly. You only got one towel and a little bottle of soap per person. The bathroom was small - zink was outside. Shower was so small you could hardly get in there if you are a large person. It was extremely moist in the room. Out clothes got damp from hanging in there which was not very nice. The bedstands was dirty on the top - you could not see it, but you could easily feel it. One bed was broken - you felt the frame of the bed and the springs so it was a horrible night. The next day we got moved to a newly renewed room with a new bathroom and good beds. That was very nice. The windows was also bad in there and still only one towel per person - it would be nice with at least one smaller one for handwas, a bar of soap and a floor towel in front of the shower. Breakfast is very nice - you choose from four variations and get toast and hot drinks. But only orange juice is available. Staff was very friendly. The owner was very eager to solve our problem with the room, which we appreciate a lot, but this room should not be used for adults and one bed neds to be changed.

The view is a beauty, but the rooms are nothing short of spartan. The lock on the bedroom is of the bedroom variety, with no interior deadbolt or security chain. Wireless did not work in the room. Total of two bath towels provided-no wash or handtowel. And no top sheet in the (very hard) bed..had to sleep under the blanket directly. Breakfast was average. Proceed if you must, but with low expectations.

The view house is nestled about a 10-15 minute walk from downtown Killarney. It’s a beautiful restful spot, with a wonderful deck to view the river. Great spot to bird watch and we even saw the occasional Otter during our stay. There was four options to choose from for breakfast and all were wonderful. Our trip was completed with helpful suggestions from Nita and wonderful conversation with owner Mary.

Photos on web are totally deceptive. paid way in advance direct for 2 nights of €600 1 room for 5 visiting . Bugs everywhere, peeling paint etc etc . Owner’s Family Legacy is gone should be ashamed.

Very run down hotel and rooms unclean. Despite advertising as newly refurbished. Few facilities no tea making in room, no working Wi-Fi . Breakfast ok but condiments provided were out of date. Room and bathroom dirty and only 2 plug points no tv in rooms.
