Super Hotel Kokuraeki Minamiguchi

I stayed here for two nights with my mom. It's about a 10-minute walk from Kokura Station. Breakfast was included, and although I didn't use it, there was a very small public bath inside the hotel. It was a bit inconvenient that there wasn't a convenience store near the hotel, but being close to Riverwalk shopping mall (Lopia is on B1!) and Kokura Castle was a plus. The staff were very friendly, and I would recommend it if the price is right for your stay!

The hotel is located in a shopping arcade, so even if it rains, you can walk to Kokura Station without an umbrella. There are many shops and restaurants nearby, and you can easily walk to attractions like Kokura Castle and Tanga Market. It's also very convenient to take the JR to Mojiko and Shimonoseki. The hotel facilities are all new, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable that I slept really well. The only issue is that the room window is very close to the building opposite, making it inconvenient to open the curtains. However, the lighting in the room is quite dim, which was a bit bothersome.

The staff were very kind, and the amenities were diverse, making it convenient to use. The distance from the station was also reasonable, and important tourist attractions were nearby.

Pros: - Instead of a card key, it's a number pad, which was convenient for groups to move around separately without worrying about losing a key. - Free breakfast: A good variety of bread, rice, salad, drinks, tea, and coffee. - After 6 PM, drinks and alcoholic beverages are available. - After 9 PM (approximately), warm tea is served. - Staff are incredibly friendly. - The loft bed was sufficient for three people. - An air purifier is in the room. - I was worried the hotel might be too small to store luggage, but all three of us could store one suitcase each. - A wide variety of amenities: Skin toner, lotion, tea, mouthwash, etc. are available, and you can take as many as you need. However, there's a time limit, so it's best to grab them right at check-in. Cons: - Because of the above, the room is also very small. There was barely enough space to open one suitcase, so we mostly kept our belongings inside our luggage. - The bathroom is also cramped. The bathtub was so small that a child couldn't fully stretch out their legs. Overall, the building is small, so the hotel space is limited, but all other services were very satisfying. The hotel is just across one bridge from River Walk, so the location isn't bad. I'd probably book it again next time.

The location is great, being close to Kokura Station. There are plenty of simple eateries nearby, which was convenient. Overall, I was satisfied with this accommodation for the price.

A very affordable and thoughtful business hotel chain! It's a quick walk from Kokura Station South Exit, so the location is excellent. Although the room is small, it's fully functional and very clean. The free breakfast offered by the hotel has a wide variety and is delicious. Downstairs is a shopping street, making it a top choice with high value for money for a self-guided trip to Kokura or a short overnight stay!

Although compact and showing a bit of age, the hotel made efforts to ensure guests could relax, with thoughtful amenities and lighting. The breakfast was also delicious.
