If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, our guests have told us that this location is excellent.
"We stayed for 4 nights and the location is perfect. It's in between two metro stations, both are about 6-7 mins walk (Champ de Mars, and Saint Laurent) depends which line you are in. We arrived by train and took the metro at Bonaventure (this is connected to the Central station: ”Gare Centrale”) and arrived at Champ de Mars. There is a supermarket 5 mins away (”IGA”) and the airport bus station is by the hotel. Chinatown is 7 mins away and make sure you visit Sammi dumplings. There is a food court (”Le Central”) 5 mins away although we found it slightly expensive. The Old Port of Montreal and Notre-Dame Basilica are about 15 mins away from the hotel. Facilities: As a number of people said, the rooms are quite basic and need a lot of uplift. Our room doesn't have any sofa (which was different from the pictures here) but functional so there is no complain. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans. We cooked our dinner twice. Staff and service: all staff are friendly and very helpful, gave advice on directions and always have a smile."

"Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at Samsun Montréal. The place is clean, well-located, and comfortable. However, a major downside was that the bedding wasn’t made up beforehand. This was quite surprising since many other hostels in Montreal, even cheaper ones, provide this as a standard service. It’s especially inconvenient when you’re on an upper bunk as it creates noise and disturbs others. It would definitely be much more comfortable if beds were prepared in advance."

"I was catching a flight in Montreal, and it was more than 20 minutes' drive from the airport, which was quite convenient. The hotel is close to the highway, and the parking lot is under the bridge, which is not very convenient. The hotel room is spacious and clean!"

"We were looking for a place to sleep for a few hours during flight transfers and we got what we were looking for.  Can you hear the planes?  Yes.  Is the air conditioner loud?  Yes, but it helps drown out the planes.  We loved the easy free airport pick up and drop off.  We had to leave at 3:30 am and a breakfast sandwich and orange juice were available which was really appreciated.  Room was clean, sheets fresh.  We were very happy."

"The hotel room was very spacious and well-designed with a large comfortable bed. There’s also a sauna with a beautiful view of the city skyline. The location is just north of Berri-UQAM station which makes travel convenient, although the area itself isn’t particularly safe and during the summer months, it’s clear there are a lot of individuals suffering from homelessness, addiction, and mental health struggles who use the surrounding neighbourhood parks to hang out. The hotel staff were generally helpful although there were a few times we made requests to the front desk that needed following up. The amenities in the room itself felt very well-maintained. One downside was that there was no free bottled water provided and we had to buy water from the shop in the hotel lobby, which was heavily overpriced and we thought it was a bit ridiculous considering the price we were paying for the room. Overall, would recommend as it is a cheaper hotel than others but this comes with a price in terms of area safety and amenities provided by the hotel."

The room we booked is equipped with kitchenware, which is convenient for cooking and changing tastes. The service staff is very enthusiastic and the service is in place. The parking lot is in the basement of the next door building. There is a height restriction. SUVs with a height of 1.9 meters should pay attention."
