"The room isn't huge, but it's generally clean. The breakfast spread was excellent, and the location is decent. My only real complaint is that the bathroom and shower design aren't very practical, but overall, it was a pretty good stay."

"We traveled as a family of five to Pingyao and stayed three nights at the Jinxuan hotel. The stay was an absolute delight, the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful with everything. They picked us up from the train station which made it very easy to find a place. Jinxuan it’s located in the very heart of Pingyao and everything is easy to reach on foot. The facilities are simple and clean, the rooms are located in a very quiet patio of one of the traditional houses in in Pingyao. We stayed in a duplex room that offered lots of space for a family. The breakfast is traditional Chinese and the hosts spoiled us on the last day with some homegrown corn and tomatoes. If you’re looking for an authentic experience, we can absolutely recommend this place. "

"Great accommodation experience, the location is very good, it's only a few minutes' walk from Xiaximen to the inn, and it's also close to the main street. The children love the bunk beds, the room is well heated, with floor heating and central air conditioning. The inn also provides free breakfast. The breakfast includes scrambled eggs with vinegar, which is very delicious, and goji berry millet porridge is very nutritious. The owner's family also offers free wearing of ancient costumes at designated locations (you only need to pay for makeup), and there are also souvenirs, which is very heartwarming. The housekeeper is also very enthusiastic, introducing tourist routes and providing 🈶️ free maps, which is really thoughtful. The housekeeper is also responsible for picking up and dropping off at the city gate. I would recommend it to friends"

"The selection of B&Bs in Pingyao Ancient City is truly overwhelming. After repeated rounds of searching, I finally settled on Xingshengjiu. The experience exceeded my expectations, and I truly made the right choice. 📍Location: Convenient, tranquil amidst the bustle. Located in a quiet alley in the heart of the ancient city, it's a 10-minute walk from the bustling South Street. 💁♂️Service: Attentive, caring, and proactive 24-hour butler service. 1) Arrival: Immediately contacted via WeChat upon booking. Upon arrival, a sightseeing shuttle was picked up from the Guanbei parking lot outside the city, and the staff warmly greeted me. 2) Tours: Proactive suggestions and maps were provided during outings. Even sightseeing shuttles were arranged for trips outside the city. 3) Every time I encountered the hotel staff, they were enthusiastic and helpful. 4) Check-out: A shuttle was booked to the parking lot, and a small set of aged vinegar was given as a souvenir. 🛏️Rooms: Brand-new facilities, modern comfort 1) A two-story, two-courtyard, two-story courtyard house, designed in the style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The tatami we booked was spacious and bright. The room was modern in design and amenities, including a tea table with Xiaodu automatic control. 2) The 4-meter king-size bed was high-quality and very comfortable. 3) The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, a powerful shower 🚿, and thick, soft towels. The pink Lefen hairdryer was both stylish and powerful. 🍵Breakfast: Jin-style snacks and aged vinegar tasting Whether it's the small buffet on the first day or the nine-square set menu on the second day, you can savor local specialties. The bar also offers four flavors of aged vinegar: healthy Polygonatum odoratum vinegar and Ganoderma lucidum vinegar, as well as beauty-enhancing red date vinegar and mulberry vinegar. 💁♀️Value-added Services and Amenities 1) The Starbucks location is a unique feature, with guests receiving a complimentary Starbucks coffee and afternoon tea. 2) A laundry room is also available. Stayed for two nights and the overall experience was very good, five-star praise."

"Very Nice expérience in a traditionnal building located Inside Pingyao ancient City. The main site are accessible by foot, and it is very close from the busy street called South Street They even offered a free shuttle from and to the train station. Breakfast was nice but not my favourite, however it is a personnal opinion. Over all I recommend."

"Traditional inn style hotel, just as you enter the old city. I stayed in a typical stone bed with futon mattress, initially I was stressed I cannot sleep.well but it was perfect. Another plus is the heated japanese style toilet and the breakfast across the street at two local ladies. Cannot get more authentic than this. They offer free driving to the railway station (high speed in my case), which it came as a pleasant surprise as I was not aware of. Highly recommend for simple, authentic local experience 🙂"

"The guesthouse is located on Yamen Street, very close to the county government office, the Temple of Martial Arts, and the former residence of Lei Lutai. It's also convenient to visit South Street and Yingxun Gate. The rooms were clean, and the owner was very kind. It rained the day I arrived, and the owner arranged for me to be picked up from the station, which was very thoughtful. He even gave me two bottles of vinegar when I left."

"Excellent location with a nice intro buffet dinner for local cuisine and breakfast included. Next to an important Taoist shrine and provision shops. Also within 5-10 min walk from the “New East Gate” which is important if you want to take a taxi for sights outside the walled city. Note outside vehicles are not allowed to get into the walled city. Extremely helpful staff and the high speed rail station to hotel transfer service is much appreciated especially since outside taxi cannot get into the hotel location. We speak mandarin and found the ancient city tour guides well worth the money. Look for the guides with the standardised purple windbreakers in winter. Standardised price but worth every cent. Glad my family took the detour to Ping Yao"

"I haven't lived in such a good homestay for a few years. I have to come and praise it. The hotel is at the north gate of the ancient town. The transportation is convenient. The hotel facilities are new. These are good hardware. The most important thing is that the boss service is too good. We didn't go out on the first day. The boss also helped us cook lunch. I also used a car to travel. I was afraid that we would not have a drink in the yard at night. I kept moving out of the store to eat. I was also responsible for introducing local food. The warm and thoughtful service was at home. It was great."
