"It's been a while since I last stayed at an InterContinental hotel. As a regular member, I didn't receive any welcome fruit. I guess there's not much to say about that, but given that hotel prices generally rise during holidays, a few fruits wouldn't cost much and could significantly improve guest satisfaction. The hotel is a bit far from the ancient city, which makes it considerably quieter. It's about a fifteen-minute drive from Quanzhou Station, and there's usually no traffic during holidays, which is quite convenient. The hotel is relatively new overall with good facilities, though the curtains aren't electric. They provide bath salts, which is a nice touch. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but they do offer Mian Xian Hu (Hokkien-style vermicelli soup); I'd had it outside the day before, so I didn't try it at breakfast. The doorman was proactive in opening doors and helping with luggage, which was commendable."

It's very close to Quanzhou Station, and the room window looks right out onto the station. Currently, the road paving around the hotel's exterior is still underway. "The room was clean and tidy, and quite quiet. The lady at the bar was also very helpful and answered all my questions. The facilities aren't new, but they're decent enough. Just a heads-up: the electric water heater has a small capacity, so it can be a bit tight for washing hair, especially with the current temperatures. For those driving, be aware that parking spots at the hotel entrance are limited and first-come, first-served. If there are no spots available, you'll need to pay for parking elsewhere."

The room is also very big, estimated to be about 30 square meters. In Fuzhou, 25 square meters is considered big for the same level. It is also very clean. All the Minnan specialty dishes were freshly prepared that morning. Waking up to a hot, authentic, and heartwarming meal was wonderful.
