"The room was sufficient for a 2 night stay, the staff were lovely and very helpful, but the room was worse than expected. Very very noisy from the trams and trains outside and the shower head wouldn’t stay on the stand. I would recommend for a quick stop over stay but would avoid if you’re planning to stay for more than a couple of nights.  The location is great though, just opposite the station it was so easy to get on and off trains, easy walk to the centre and cathedral, with plenty of nearby restaurants!"

"Location is near train station, turn right and walk all the way straight. There are some food eateries around. They have 3 single beds for triple room. Decent and cozy hotel, 17 rooms. Continental breakfast is simple and good enough. Thank you."

"This hotel is absolutely fantastic – a definite must-stay when in Florence! The room facilities were excellent, and the lobby offered complimentary drinks. We also enjoyed the table tennis, swings, and super comfortable chairs. The rooftop bar boasts breathtaking, unbeatable night views, meaning you don't even need to go to the main square to admire the Florence Cathedral. They even have a photo booth on-site, though unfortunately, it was out of order during our visit, which was a bit of a pity."

"We were upgraded to a suite. Everyone at the front desk was friendly, the room was stylish and spacious, and the view was amazing! The breakfast was just right, and the dining room was comfortable. This was the most stylish hotel I've ever stayed in, and I loved it. Highly recommended!"

"Villa Tortorelli is a charming mix between a bed-and-breakfast and a hotel. My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible. Check-in & First Impressions The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect. One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues. Room & Comfort I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning. The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily. One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets. Breakfast Experience The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right. The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city. One Minor Issue The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable. Final Thoughts Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive. Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!"

"Overall, the rooms were good. One of them didn't have a particularly good smell, but opening the windows helped a bit. And in the other room, there was a background noise that could be heard sometimes, but not all the time. The main problem was with check-in. In 2026, there are a thousand ways to check in independently at any time, with devices to retrieve the key, codes, instructions, etc. The staff was friendly, but having to write in person and give precise notice of your arrival time to receive the keys in person leaves you a bit restricted in your arrival. All in all, however, the stay was pleasant."

"We stayed in a Studio Suite, and the experience was excellent. The apartment is brand new, beautifully designed, and truly luxurious, with great attention to detail. Everything felt thoughtfully done — from the fittings to the comfort level. The kitchenette was extremely helpful, especially for a longer stay, and had everything we needed. The staff were very helpful and responsive, and housekeeping was excellent — the apartment was consistently spotless and well maintained. One very useful tip for future guests: the C2 bus, which stops right in front of the Anglo American Hotel, takes you directly into the city centre and is far cheaper than taxis. We discovered this only later in our stay, and it would be great if the hotel shared this information with guests on arrival — it makes getting into Florence much easier. Overall, a wonderful stay — modern, comfortable, and well managed. We would happily return and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality stay in Florence."

"The location isn't right in the old town center, but that's actually a plus because the surroundings are very quiet and peaceful at night. Florence is quite small, so you can pretty much walk everywhere, and there are also plenty of buses and trams nearby. If you're arriving after 7-8 PM, you need to email the hotel in advance to inform them of your late check-in. The front desk will place your key in a lockbox with a code for self-service. The room doesn't feel like a typical hotel room; it's more like an apartment. It's incredibly spacious with ample room for your belongings, including two wardrobes and a safe. There's also a microwave and cutlery, which is super convenient for heating up food. There's a supermarket within a 10-minute walk, and Florence's main train station is about a 15-minute walk away. The area seems quite safe. They don't provide toothbrushes or slippers (which seems to be standard in Europe). Basic shampoo and towels are available. There's a laundry room, but only one washer and dryer unit, so sometimes you have to wait. Breakfast consists of a croissant and coffee (they'll email you beforehand to choose, with juice and other options available), delivered to your door to eat in your room. The front desk staff were very friendly and communication was smooth – highly recommended!"

"It's a really large apartment, 50 square meters in total, which is quite large in Europe. The location is also great, quiet in a busy area. The hustle and bustle of the other side of the river won't disturb the guests at all. You can experience the local customs and culture of Italy by crossing the bridge. The room has a kitchen, stove, refrigerator, coffee machine, and bowls and chopsticks are also provided. If you eat too much Italian food, you can come back and make a Chinese meal to satisfy your craving. It was a pleasant surprise."

"The hotel is quite new and in a great location. It seems popular with young people and offers plenty of entertainment options beyond just accommodation. The staff were all very friendly. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Foshan."
