"The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and they spoke Chinese, Japanese, and English. The facilities are very well-maintained; from the outside, everything looks impeccable. However, upon closer inspection, there were some minor cleanliness issues with the duvet cover and the fish tank. I was pleasantly surprised that the superior twin room came with a microwave and utensils, and the fridge had both freezer and refrigeration compartments. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices, and I especially enjoyed the beautiful view and the wide selection of beverages. Overall, it lives up to its four-star rating."

"This hotel is great! Downstairs, there's a huge 24-hour supermarket with delicious sashimi and sushi. And right across the street is a 24-hour Don Quijote, perfect for some last-minute shopping. The room was really spacious, I could easily lay out two 30-inch suitcases. It was clean and tidy too. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my last stop in Osaka next time."

"I absolutely love this hotel; I stay here every time I visit Osaka! It's safe and convenient for solo travelers. Environment: The location is incredibly convenient. It's a 2-minute walk to Osaka Station Central Plaza, and there are 7-Eleven and Lawson convenience stores nearby. Yodobashi Camera is just one block away, making it perfect for shopping! Cleanliness: Very clean and tidy, excellent! My room was cleaned thoroughly every day during my 6-day stay. Service: The front desk staff are wonderful, polite, and enthusiastic! They offer luggage storage and parcel mailing services, and their attitude is fantastic."

"Good hotel with spa with mediocre services.  The room was neat, clean and feeling new.  However, staffs are not familiar with English, not even talking Mandarin. Using the translator with poor voice input was troublesome and sometimes it interpreted wrong meanings. Room service if missed will not be provided again on that day. Also, there were many spa-only visitors simply lying on the spa floor.  Parts of the male spa were under construction and one night there were no 40 degree Celsius or higher pool as they were all under cleaning at the same time. The ground of the spa was very slippery, mostly because many visitors did not bother to rinse themselves well after using the conditioner. The breakfast buffet is good in terms of food choices and environment. But I dislike the scrambled eggs, which had a texture tasted awful."

"Facilities: The facilities are excellent, the room even comes with a microwave, and there's a laundry room on the first floor. Cleanliness: Exceptionally clean and tidy; the room was made up daily. Environment: It's surrounded by office buildings, so it's incredibly quiet both morning and night, which made for excellent sleep. Service: Very friendly and welcoming; they provided all necessary information during check-in. Additionally, the hotel offers incredibly convenient access to Kyoto. It's about a 10-minute walk to Kitahama Station, and from there, the Keihan Limited Express gets you to Kyoto in no time. There's also a fairly large supermarket nearby with a wide selection of products and tax-refund services, plus a FamilyMart diagonally across the street downstairs, which is very convenient."

"This was probably the smallest room I've ever stayed in Osaka. When I booked, I saw it was called a 'suite' and assumed the room wouldn't be small, but then I realized the hotel's name is just 'Suite Hotel.' We were three people, two adults and one child, and they even made up the sofa bed for us. But there was no space to lay our luggage flat on the floor if it wasn't on the bed. Several times in the middle of the night, I was woken up by a 'woo-woo' alarm sound. In the morning, I found out it was just the ambulance from the hospital across the street. Other than that, there's not much else to review..."

"It's a bit of a walk from the subway station. It's actually more around Nihonbashi. It's close to the Tanico store, and convenient for taking the Nankai line to the airport. Just be aware that the hotel doesn't provide complimentary water. Otherwise, the staff attitude was great, and the duvet and pillows were incredibly comfortable."

"I used to stay at the old Keihan Tenmabashi hotel every time, but this time I tried the Tenmabashi Station Front store. A 21-square-meter room is considered quite spacious in Japan. The separate wet and dry areas, along with a door to the bedroom, make it super convenient. The location is also a major plus, making it easy to get to Kyoto, and there's a shopping mall across the street. Everything you need for food, accommodation, and transportation is right there."

"After staying in a cheaper APA hotel in Tokyo, my partner and I were looking forward to a higher-end stay at the Mercure in Osaka. It was... okay. I'll start with the positives: the proximity to Dotonbori is the biggest plus. It's about a 3-minute walk to the main canal strip. The hotel is separated from the peak tourism chaos by a few streets, so it isn't too overwhelmingly busy around the hotel itself. Convenient FamilyMart and 7-Eleven options are nearby, as you'd expect. The room was clean. The Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor was also quite lovely and well-priced. Now the negatives. First, the lighting was so dim in the hallways and the room itself that it was less ”pleasant mood lighting” and more ”I can't see anything/do my makeup.” I actually thought some of the lightbulbs were blown, but my partner pointed out they were just absurdly dim. Secondly, the door to the bathroom/shower was broken and wouldn't stay shut, so we had to use a few heavy items on the floor to keep it closed. Some of the USB outlets were also non-functioning. Thirdly - and this may be our fault - the washer-dryer combo machine in our room (which was a big reason for us booking this hotel) was finicky to use and only had Japanese labels/instructions. The room guide on the smart TV did have some instructions, but we struggled to operate the machine regardless. Then, after we worked it out, the drying cycle shrunk and heavily wrinkled our clothes. This wouldn't be the end of the world, but the room had no iron or ironing board. You have to go to reception to hire an iron separately or use the ”iron room,” which we never saw the inside of because it was locked every time we tried the door. None of these drawbacks were trip-ruining or anything, and in a cheaper 3-star hotel, we wouldn't be clutching our pearls about it. But because this is a pricier 4-star, internationally-known hotel brand, we expected more. Overall, the stay was not unpleasant, but it was nothing to write home about either."

"We had a quad room with 4 large beds. The room is great generous size for a family of 4 with a shared dining table in the middle. It was very clean and modern. We would surely stay here again. Convenient location within walking distance of attractions in the area. Subway directly under. No need to pay for breakfast with 7-11 on the ground floor as well as so many eateries nearby."
