"This is the most disappointing hotel I've ever stayed in.
1. Before checking in, I confirmed with the hotel if I could extend my stay in the same room. They said yes, but upon arrival, no matter how much I pleaded, they refused to honor the agreement. They admitted there was an issue with their system but offered me a single cup of coffee as compensation. Seriously, are they trying to insult me?
2. Before booking, I saw a review mentioning a strong paint smell in the room, but I didn't pay it much mind. I deeply regretted that when I stepped into the room. The paint smell was so overpowering that we had to keep the ventilation on 24/7 and the windows open; otherwise, it was impossible to breathe. The intensity of the smell might also be related to the room's location.
3. My first thought upon entering the room was, ”It's so small!” The only difference between a standard room and a superior room is the absence of an extremely narrow sofa. To make matters worse, there were unidentified stains on the bed sheets. When we reported it, the front desk actually had to consult with a manager before they could change them for us.
Was the service attitude really strong-willed? Not exactly. Everyone was all smiles, but they couldn't solve a single problem for me. It was incredibly frustrating. (Even for Myeongdong, if this room were priced at 500, I wouldn't say a word, but come on! It costs over 1,000 a night!!!)"
