"This is our 3rd stay at Sky Hotel. We booked a 2-bedroom suite and checked in at night, but unfortunately the room was not clean. There was dust and powder on the sofa, the floor was sticky and dusty, some flooring was chipped, and there was an unpleasant smell. We called reception to request a room change but were told the hotel was full. Housekeeping came to check and confirmed the room condition. We took some photos and went down to the reception counter, after discussingabout 10 minutes, the reception offered us an upgrade to a bigger suite, which was clean and much better. Appreciate the staff for resolving the issue quickly, but the room cleanliness should be improved."

"This was my third time staying at the Kaseh Hotel in Kota Kinabalu, and I brought my mother along for a trip. As always, the stay was incredibly satisfying! Service: The front desk staff were warm and helpful, offering check-in services in both Chinese and English. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and plentiful, with a wide variety of dishes that my mother particularly enjoyed. When cleaning the room, they always replenished necessary disposable items and even helped tidy up clothes on the bed and toiletries in the bathroom, which was very thoughtful. Cleanliness: The hotel was clean and tidy, with daily room cleaning service. Environment: The location is extremely convenient. Taking a Grab to city attractions is always within a ten-minute drive, making it easy to get to Sutera Harbour for island hopping and Gaya Street. There are also many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. It's only about a ten-minute Grab ride from the airport, so there's no need to wake up extra early to catch a flight. Getting around to and from the hotel is very convenient. Facilities: As always, the facilities are complete. You can take hotel towels with you for island hopping and snorkeling, just remember to return them. There are plenty of drying racks, perfect for hanging clothes. There's also an outdoor swimming pool. Hope to see Kota Kinabalu again next time!"

"Room size is decent, and the facilities are generally fine. No toothbrush or hairdryer in the room, but the front desk brought one up when I called. Housekeeping: On the 27th, they said it was a holiday and wouldn't be cleaning, so I just asked for a fresh towel. They didn't clean for the next few days either; I had to specifically ask them to clean the room. Environment: It's not soundproofed at all. The road outside is very noisy, and there were motorcycles revving loudly late at night. Couldn't sleep without earplugs. Service: Overall, the service was quite good. They were very responsive to requests."

"We had pleasant 2 nights stay. The room size is perfect. I’m surprised with the mini kitchen. Almost all basic cooking tools are there. There’s filtered water. Didn’t get to use the swimming pool. Will visit some other time."

It was originally hard for three of us to find a suitable place, and we were considering Airbnbs, but then I stumbled upon their three-bedroom apartment and immediately booked it. "Cons: 1. Cleanliness & hotel housekeeping need improvement, I had seen rats in and out of the hotel 3 times, please refer to standard ISO & HIRARC for improvement. 2. It has no sound insulation effect at all and is not suitable for people with poor sleep. Pros: 1. Good service from the staffs who helped me to set up birthday surprise for my partner. 2. Yang Yang Kopitiam’s food is good. 3. The geographical location is good, and it is very close to wherever we go. Walking time within 10-20 minutes or Grab (mostly RM4-5 per trip, airport RM7-15)."

"The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the sea-view room offered beautiful views. However, the room faced a busy street, resulting in significant noise from motorcycles and traffic, which affected the overall stay. Another downside was the elevator outage. After a long wait, I had to walk down 19 floors using the stairs. The hotel could have addressed the issue more quickly to minimize the inconvenience and impact on guests."

"There are two Klagan hotels in KK, and we stayed at the Klagan Riverson SOHO. It’s a fantastic spot for a family gathering! The location is great—just a short walk to Imago Mall. Our unit had two rooms and helpful kitchenette facilities. Plus, they provide daily housekeeping, which was a nice touch."

"The room was really clean, I forgot to take pictures. It was quiet at night and felt very safe. There are many restaurants and convenience stores downstairs. It's very close to Gaya Street and the DBKK jetty, about a 5-minute taxi ride. Every room has a floor-to-ceiling window with direct views of the jetty and the sea, as shown in the pictures – both the daytime views and the sunset are beautiful. Kota Kinabalu is the most convenient and comfortable city I've visited so far; it's very beautiful and chill. The host was also very nice and patient in answering my questions. This is the best and most worthwhile hotel I've ever picked, the value for money is truly unbeatable!"
