Очень гостеприимная хозяйка, всегда готова помочь, рассказала о мероприятиях, проходящих в городе, куда можно сходить. При заселении нас ждал комплимент: маленькая бутылочка портвейна! Местоположение не идеальное, но хорошее, от станции Trindade 7 минут пешком, до начала центра минут 10. В центр идти без проблем, но возвращаться надо 1км в гору Рядом есть хороший супермаркет Pingo Doce"

"Incredible stay in the famous city of Porto. The Guest House is perfectly located close to all amenities, ideal for walking around the city. The staff is super welcoming and professional. "Except that it was a little hard to find when checking in, everything else was almost perfect. The hotel address is R. de São João 9 21, Porto, Porto District, 4050-551, Portugal, which is No. 9 on this street, but the actual apartment is located at No. 17 (see Figure 1). But this is an apartment, so you have to check in at the front desk of the hotel next door first. The front desk will give you the password to enter the apartment and the specific room key. The location is great, right next to the Porto Bridge. Unfortunately, I couldn't see it from the window. The room is quite large and has a clever design. At first we didn't notice the open kitchen and thought it was just an ordinary closet. But when we opened it, we found all kinds of pots, pans, and cooking utensils. It was a bit like opening a blind box. The bed is very big, about 2 meters. Compared to hotels in Europe, this is very generous."

The location was so good that I walked to São Bento Train Station and the Dom Luis Bridge for sightseeing. "Very good, very good location, see the São Bento train station and the Porto church on the front and rear balconies, all walks can be walked. The kitchen is fully equipped and can be eaten by yourself. You can see the priest tower by pushing open the window, and the night view of the Douro River is beautiful! "Last year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment. Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately. The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied. The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too. Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out. The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas."
