Cypress Moon Inn

Our stay at Cypress Moon Inn was idyllic! The home is close to amenities. Cocooned on a large waterfront lot in a haven of trees, you feel miles away from the bustle. Upon arrival, Linda warmly greeted us and ensured our comfort before offering a dinner suggestion. Ocean Boulevard was a spot-on recommendation! The next morning, Greg shared local knowledge of the greater Outer Banks region. We followed several of his suggestions, resulting in an engaging and lovely day of exploration. The home is filled with charm. We enjoyed early mornings on the deck, feeling in-tune with nature. We spent evenings playing some of the board games the Inn keeps on-site. Overall, a wonderful trip with equally gracious hosts. Thank you!

have no complaints about my stay at the cypress moon inn, you cannot beat this place for the price. Location is beautiful, with a balcony that gives you a nice view of the sound side. Breakfast is some fruit and muffins, restocked each day. It's a light breakfast, perfect for starting your day. There's a Walmart nearby just in case you forget or need to pick up anything. Additionally the host Greg is delightful, could talk to him for hours. He built the house himself and did a very good job. He provides free bikes you can take down to the beach, as well as kayaks to use on the lake behind the house. Only complaint (if I had to complain) would be that there is no microwave, but for how nice the place is that didn't bother me.

Wonderful Choice Can’t wait to return. Homey and comfortable. Our host was absolutely fabulous and was extremely interesting. He spent a lot of time answering our questions and just being helpful. It’s only a minute or two from the highway, but you’d never know it. Quiet. Feels remote. They have fishing poles, kayaks, life preservers, bicycles, and tons of books (especially local titles) games, on and on. Wonderful deck off each room to watch the water and wildlife. This place is a jewel. Recommend it highly.

Beautiful property, great people Lovely retreat on the water. Close to town but tucked away from the traffic and chaos. Lots of wildlife and very kind and attentive innkeepers.

Horrible. My husband has asthma & pulmonary lung disease. Moldy, dusty, dirt roads and the smell of mildew is overwhelming. Linda was pleasant, and said we didn't have to stay, considering ... But her husband now refuses to issue a refund. I am sure that the camber of commerece, and the heath department need to be notified. Air conditioning is opening the deck door & a window & letting the wind blow the door shut. Breakfast, none. Old fruit left out on a table with no refrigeration. And the bug s, how can you !save the door open with them.

Greg and Linda are excellent hosts. They operate a beautifully furnished and appointed little inn. My wife and I spent 3 nights there hoping for a restful and quiet getaway. We were not disappointed. We had a splendid time observing the Albermarle Sound and its wild life and hiking the nearby trails. There are many excellent restaurants 5-10 minutes away. Highly recommended for a peace and quiet little vacation.

Nice, quiet get away with nice water views from private balcony. Owners are friendly and informative. Great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle!

Magical! If I had one word to describe my stay it would be magical. Upon our arrival to this hidden gem, we were greeted by Linda. She welcomed us into this gorgeous home, built by her husband Greg, tucked away in lush greenery. It's far enough away to feel comfortably private, but close enough to beaches, shopping and landmarks like the Wright Brothers Museum. The room was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and had a tempurpedic mattress and pillows, but my favorite part was the balcony! A relaxing swing, table and chairs, and what a view!!! I can't believe all the wildlife I was fortunate enough to see right off the balcony- cranes, does, bucks, raccoons, and so many birds. If you like to kayak, paddleboard or ride a bike, all are available here. Greg and Linda were delightful hosts, very knowledgeable about the area and they did everything possible to ensure we had the best vacation. TLDR: Stay here!!! You will LOVE it!

We loved our stay at the unique and beautiful Cypress Moon Inn. The property is full of character and we especially enjoyed the owner’s appreciation of nature; there was a wonderful blending into the surroundings. Greg and Linda were gracious and attentive hosts- gave us space but were also willing to share history and stories full of personality with us. The antique furnishings in the Inn are beautiful and the building itself is a work of high craftsmanship. We would love to stay here again!
