A beautiful beach side hotel. The grounds are well cared for, everywhere is clean. The rooms are lovely, with their own little balcony. Water supplied daily, mosquito nets, fresh flowers scattered daily on the bed. The staff were all so friendly, always eager to help. The food range was very good. It has a gym, spa, water activities etc. Lots of security round. We felt very well cared for and looked after.

We had a wonderful stay at Sultan Sands Zanzibar! The resort is beautiful, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout our visit. The food, beach, and overall atmosphere made for a truly relaxing and memorable vacation. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zanzibar!

The hotel was nice great hospitality the staff members were very welcoming especially Fatma (FOM)& Ramadhan, Bertha from the reception gave us a warm welcome from the beginning of our trip until the end of it Mohammed from the restaurant gave us extra care, Christabel from housekeeping was also amazing not forgetting Priscilla we had an amazing experience sultan sands will always be our go to place when we come to Zanzibar A big thank you to the whole team you’re amazing we’ll miss this place.

On behalf of my family, I would like to express our sincere appreciation for making our time in Zanzibar memorable. We had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay. The team’s dedication to creating such a welcoming atmosphere truly made a difference. A special thank you to Mr. Dass, the General Manager, and his team for the lovely surprise cake and singing on our last evening at dinner. It was such a thoughtful gesture. The warmth, care and kindness shown by the staff was deeply touching. I also want to highlight Doreen in housekeeping ….we had left our safe open by mistake and she notified us. Nothing was missing. Thank you once again. We left with wonderful memories and would love to return some day.

Lovely location right on the sandy beach. The rooms were thatched round rooms with a balcony. Some were on a high incline and for us it was too much for our knees so Fatima changed it to closer room that became available. All staff from reception to bar staff to waiters to grounds people were all wonderful and helpful. I would like to say a special thanks to Fatima in reception who was always on hand to answer our queries and Chris at the bar who was polite and helpful. An amazing relaxing few days after a safari.

After a Safari in Tanzania, we planned a stay here to relax and rest. The staff here are so respectful and responsive. I must acknowledge Fatima the in house reception manager, who promptly dealt with our request to change our room due to mobility issues. Room was always cleaned to a high standard. Food was delicious. Entertainment was so professional, could be a bit more interactive with guests to add more energy in the evenings. Get is up dancing and singing In all a fabulous stay !!! We stayed at Sultan Sands Island Resort on Zanzibar for two weeks in September and absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were really clean, spacious, including a little balcony. Most rooms are in huts, which just adds to the charm. We particularly chose this hotel because it is relatively small, so more personal. And we were not disappointed. The staff were amazing. The hotel manager, Jimmy, was super hands on, helping out wherever needed. In particular staff in the restaurant went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We would like to especially mention Hidaya, one of the superviors. Always smiling. And she made sure a particular table was reserved for us, without even asking. Other staff that were amazing were Sophia and her sister, Angel, Mohammed and Ochien. Also the lady who mostly served at the bar closest to the beach - we think her name is Happy. The pool was clean and spacious. There was never any overcrowding. And the beach was clean, with super fine soft white sand. At times there was some washed up seaweed, but that’s nature. People were incredibly friendly. We also explored the local village a little and felt completely safe. There is clearly a lot of poverty on the island, but people are warm and friendly, and welcoming. When walking on the beach, be prepared to be approached by lots of locals who want to sell their goods or services. If you do take a walk when the tide is out (recommended, as you will see lots of interesting sea life), make sure you take beach shoes, as there are lots of sea urchins. The buffet is smaller in range compared to other all inclusive hotels. But there is still good variety and the food was delicious and of high quality. There were some food stations that cooked fresh food for dinners. Very good selection of fresh salads every day along with fresh fruit. All the meat is halal unless otherwise stated.

I recently travelled to Zanzibar for my sisters 50th birthday and the trip was exactly what we needed! We celebrated this milestone in style and most of that was made possible with the exceptional hospitality provided by the team of Sultan Sands. The care that was given to our food, entertainment and general well being goes beyond words. Sultan Sands offered a cosy feel that left us pinning for more of the island life. A special thanks to Mr. Dass (General Manager) who personally ensured that we received a VIP service. Big thank you to the entire team at Sultan Sands that made us feel so welcome. It was truly an unforgettable experience!

Sultan Sands is a wonderfull resort, located on de beach. The resort is well maintained, luxurious and beautifully set up. The staff is warm, friendly and professional and did everything to make our stay (for the second time) unforgettable. We had and all inclusive arrangement and enjoyed the food which is healthy and delicious.

This is the worst hotel which I have ever stayed at. There is quite clearly, an infestation of Rats, I saw them twice in the reception area and had one run over my foot which having a drink in the evening on our balcony. in the main restart area, Raw Fish, were displayed for many hours without resting upon a bed of ice, leaking fluids, attracting flies and being touched by guests. Despite many complaints to Tui - a company that I will never use again, the only redress I was offered that we would be able to move hotels for a surcharge of £1,115...... My Partner, unsurprisingly fell ill with severe food poisoning and had to spend 6 hours on an IV drip. What I thought was going to be a great two weeks was very disappointing Andy

I visited the Sultan Sands Island Resort Hotel for the third time. The hotel is in a beautiful location, with a white beach and a wonderful garden. The accommodation is beautiful, clean. The food is excellent, varied, always fresh. The staff is caring and very kind. The manager Mr. Dass Bangar takes great care of all the guests. He cares about the satisfaction of the guests. Thanks to him, this was our most beautiful vacation we have ever been on. We will definitely come back here. Thank you M&G
