I recently stayed at Kluang Riverview Hotel and found it to be a fairly straightforward, no-frills option.
The room was clean, neat, and functional—nothing premium, but perfectly acceptable for a short stay. The shower facilities were also clean and decent, and the hotel itself appears relatively new, which helps maintain a good overall standard.
However, there were a few areas that could be improved. My request for early check-in was not accommodated, and the luggage storage arrangement raised some concerns. Guest bags were placed in an open area beside the counter, with different staff attending to guests at different times. This made the process feel less secure, as it seemed easy for anyone to access or claim a bag without much verification.
That said, considering the price point, I don’t have major complaints. If you’re looking for a simple, budget-friendly stay—especially if your main purpose is just to have a place to rest (e.g. before or after a hike)—this hotel does the job.
For future visits to Kluang, I might explore other options for comparison, but overall this was an acceptable stay for what it offers.
