This is a lovely hotel about 5 minutes drive from the centre of Knysna. The rooms are clean, spacious and well-appointed. The resort is quiet and relaxing with very friendly staff. There are outdoor swimming pools and a lovely bar area with a good choice of drinks. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice!

Rooms not bad in size, plus is the big bathroom with walk in shower and l'Occitane bath accessories which is different from other hotels. Nice location but away from the Knysna waterfront. Quiet location and nice gardens with 2 medium sized pools and small play area. They have padel courts but this must be booked through another company for hire of court and equipment. Downs: Very limited breakfast, buffet style with small selection of scrambled , tomatoes, hash browns NO halal options which is a big negative. Most of the other hotels around here have this and a area where they provide omelettes At this hotel you have to pay extra for an omelette, Really?? If you are looking for a halaal friendly hotel then rather look elsewhere as what you pay is nice for hotel and room but not for food. We usually stay at Fancourt and this place is far from that in terms of experience. Agree that this gives you value for money but the kids wanted additional things for breakfast compared to what was offered. Reminded me of some of the business hotels I've used for work which offer the basics for the business traveller for breakfast. Was worth trying it out but maybe not for us.Lovely lady at reception who i chatted with regarding my concerns and it seems I'm not the only guest who has commented on the food offering.

This is an excellent hotel, beautifully set out in fantastic gardens. The rooms are very modern and comfortable and are positioned overlooking the gardens. The food is great. The swimming pool was clean and the sun beds comfortable. Can’t think of any improvements needed

We had 3 nights at Knysna Hollow, a modern small up market hotel built on the site of a previous establishment destroyed by fire in 2017 (I think). The rooms are spacious and comfortable with air conditioning, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, a safe and TV (which we couldn't understand how to work, it's very technical). Having said that, who needs a TV in a place as good as this? The electric sockets are South African, not international - if you need an adaptor you can get one from reception for a small deposit. There are 2 swimming g pools, 4 boules pitches and a padl Court. Meals were all very good at dinner and breakfast and a good wine list with very reasonable prices. The staff, without exception, were cheerful and friendly. You can hire a bicycle to cycle into Knysna, though it's along quite a busy road. I can highly recommend this spot!

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff and very relaxing. We stopped off here and stayed for 3 nights on our trip along the garden route. The food was very good, especially the burger! Very clean, spacious room and bathroom! We would certainly return!

Without a doubt the best choice in knysna for any traveler , this is a modern complex which has an excellent restaurant. Both lunch and dinner are recommended , the atmosphere is so refreshing. Prices are reasonable and the staff obliging. Our many visits reflect the quality of staff and management we never want to leave. Well done Knysna’s hollow . Lord B. Uk.

We arrived early and were allowed to check in to Beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds. The place has well manicured gardens, inclusive bike hire, with helmets which we used to go to the heads on, also paddle tennis is available on site. What a shock it was to meet (Lenox) who at breakfast greeted us with a grunt, explaining nothing about the breakfast service. Which was a good self service buffet, drinks to be ordered. We ordered a pot of tea, and then asked him for a coffee latte , at this he picked the tea pot up from our table shook it and said but you’ve got tea! He then proceeded to bring out coffee slamming the cup down hard onto the table so hard that he apologised at him self , we asked him if it was a problem having tea and coffee, this guy spoils the whole ambience of the place and undermines the extremely good efforts of the reception team and other staff.

This must be one of the loveliest places to stay in South Africa, if not the world. Very comfortable with beautiful gardens exceptionally well maintained and good value for money food and wine. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be making a return trip to South Africa and we will definitely stay here again.

We loved this place. It is absolutely amazing. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and modern. Everything was very clean. The bathroom amenities are top class. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Our room felt very private. The restaurant is great. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and appeared energetic and loving their jobs. The location of the hotel is perfect and we were able to walk into town when Knysna was very busy and we didn't want to contend with traffic. I would recommend this place. It is a real gem.

Wonderful hotel, the attention to detail here is second to none, a small light brightens the bathroom when you enter at night- such a good idea! Small but thoughtful. Staff are friendly and chatty and made the stay even better. We stayed 5 nights and ate in the hotel three evenings and every meal was good- we wouldn’t normally eat in so often but it was worth it at this hotel. Great area too, surrounded by forests and the lagoon absolutely fabulous. Hiking excellent as was the Friday night market held a few minutes walk from the hotel. Felt safe and relaxed and comfortable. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel in Knysna! The grounds are absolutely stunning, with beautiful gardens and a peaceful, serene atmosphere that made us feel completely relaxed. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with great advice on the best local sites to visit. Breakfast was a highlight – delicious and served with a smile. The hotel is also ideally located, just a short walk from the center of Knysna, making it easy to explore the area. We truly wish we'd stayed longer and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Knysna!

Stayed here for our recent honeymoon and the hotel and grounds were amazing. The outdoor gardens and pool areas were well kept and pristine. The room was modern, clean and very spacious. The bar, breakfast and restaurant areas were clean, and the staff were attentive. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet with plenty of choice and the food was good. We ate at the restaurant on one evening and were impressed. If we hadn't already had somewhere booked for the second evening we would have happily eaten here again. Overall a very pleasant stay in a great location close to what we wanted to do.

Great place to stay in Knysna. Relatively new. Burned down in the fire and was rebuilt a few years ago. Grounds are peaceful. Room was comfortable and quiet. Front desk keeps the pool towels. Two Padel Tennis courts on site -- can reserve courts and equipment. Not expensive. Staff were very friendly. We had dinner here one night and it was excellent. Breakfast every morning was buffet and a nice selection. Load shedding affected hot water availability so make sure to check when it is while you are there so you are not showering near the end of the earmarked time! Would stay here again if ever back in the area.

I was on a tour with Locations Africa. This was one of our more wonderful stays while traveling. The bed, bedding, pillows all perfect. I just wanted to luxuriate in my bed but glad I rallied for dinner on site. I'd also like to give a shout out to some of the exemplary staff. Max, who helped me with my bags and gave me a tutorial of all the gadgets in my room. Wonderful. Also, Nkosi, was always there to ensure we had all we needed and all was going smoothly. Thank. you! Petros was another asset to the establishment. And let us not forget the front desk staff: Cheryl and Lethu. So helpful. You've got a great team and it makes the place a wonderful experience.
