Clean Beach Resort

This is a tough review because the resort ticked a lot of boxes and was exactly what we had hoped and expected. Unfortunately it also had some drawbacks. 1st the positives. Reception staff were friendly and helpful The location of the hotel, although not on the beach is just over a quietist road and breakfast is taken on the beach side of the road overlooking a wonderful beach. The cabins are large and fairly well maintained, with clean bedding. Now unfortunately the negatives: The bathrooms are very tired, needing some real care and attention. The beds are very hard, making sleep at best fitful. The biggest issue was the laundry, which I assume is outsourced. Our party had 2 rooms and each put in medium bags to the laundry. We collected it the night before were left early the next morning. When we unpacked it the next day we discovered at least 25% of both bags had gone missing and not come back to us. When we reached out to the hotel, we were told,”sorry, we will try harder”. That’s good to hear but doesn’t help us with our missing clothes. This would have been a 4 star review but the laundry debarcle left such a bad taste the best I can offer is 3 stars.

We were a group of 5 gentlemen, we stayed 2 nights at Clean Beach Resort and really enjoyed our time there. The bungalows were spotless and comfortable, offering either a double bed or two twin beds. While there were only two power sockets by the beds and four near the TV, it was manageable for our needs. The location is ideal — right across the street from a beachfront restaurant and just steps from a beautiful, quiet beach. The swimming pool was clean and refreshing, and the overall atmosphere of the resort was peaceful and relaxing. The staff were lovely and accommodating. We really appreciated the early check-in and the late check-out they offered us. Mosquito repellent is a must, especially in the late afternoon and evening. Luckily, there’s a 7-Eleven just a 5-minute walk away, along with plenty of restaurants and massage parlors within walking distance. We didn’t try the breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant, but we enjoyed a nice café just next door. They also offer convenient transfers, for a fee, to and from Krabi Airport and Ao Nang in a very comfortable 9-seater van — perfect for groups. Highly recommended for a quiet and comfortable stay in Koh Lanta!
