Absolutely lovely hotel and owner. Only improvement I could suggest would be making the bathroom slightly more private, due to the window and mesh above (meaning people on another balcony could hear you, and the air conditioning struggles as the heat gets in).

room is spacious and clean. AC works great. the front desk was very friendly and helpful. you can book your boat tour/rent scooters/arrange transportation from the front desk, so convenient and easy. will book again. it’s highly recommended.

We spent Christmas here this year and had the most wonderful stay. The family who run the hotel are absolutely lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. We had two rooms on the beach side. Although the road nearby can be busy, this didn’t bother us at all. We occasionally heard traffic at night, but never enough to disturb our sleep. The rooms are spotless and the shower is excellent. We also often had treats waiting for us when we returned from the beach, fresh coconut or mango. The fridge in the room was good and enabled us to have cold water. Breakfast was a real highlight of our stay. There was a delicious and generous selection of food each morning, with plenty of vegetarian options. We especially loved being able to choose from traditional Thai breakfasts alongside familiar Western choices. We arrived slightly earlier than expected, but this was no problem at all and our rooms were ready for us. On our departure day, we were also able to store our luggage comfortably until our transfer to Krabi arrived, which made everything feel very relaxed and easy. The beach is just moments away and has a lovely restaurant and bar area. The beach itself is beautiful, and mopeds can be hired very cheaply, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay here and cannot recommend it highly enough.

4 nights at the Lanta Mermaid Boutique Hotel did not meet expectations. We had rooms with a view and then the balcony was facing a very busy road. (This road also had to cross to get to the beach and it could often be a dangerous pass). Here it was not possible to sit and have a normal conversation from 0630 AM to midnight, nor could you have the sliding doors from the room open due to noise. The breakfast was also not as expected so we decided that it was best to go out in one of the many small restaurants (along the busy street) where we could find a cheaper and better breakfast offer. Having said all the negatives, we found the hosts to be nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and nice and certainly met our expectations.

We booked a car for 2000 ThB from a travel Agency and only paid the driver on arrival at the hotel. It took 50 minutes from Krabi Airport to the ferry terminal and waited only 5 minutes to be on ferry. Ferry journey was a short 13 minutes and continued the journey on land for another 18 minutes to reach the Hotel. Location of hotel is excellent, 250 M walking distance to Klong Dao beach. Next to it on the right is The Kitchen which served excellent Thai food. A 7 Eleven store is situated on the left about 300 M away. During our stay we only took 2 Tuk Tuk ride, the first one to Old Town for 800 ThB return with 2 hours at Old Town. A short ride to Saladan cost us 100 ThB one way. To me this is very expensive. Our room face the hill side so the traffic hardly bothered us. All foot wears are left outside so cleanliness upkeep is easier but no room slippers were provided. Hope the management can provide slippers in future. There is still a bulky Cathode Ray Tube TV occupying a big table space. This is a place with value for money for Seniors like us.

We spent 4 nights here. Was a great stay. Room at the front, noise wasn’t too bad to be honest. We love watching the world go by.Housekeeping was good. All staff we met very welcoming and friendly.Beach is just across the road. There are quite a few nice beaches along the stretch of road. We found a few gorgeous ones. We walked everywhere as that’s what we like to do. Found some great places to eat in both directions from the hotel. We didn’t eat in the hotel as we like to try and spend our money in all the local eateries. That way we help more local businesses.We only had one bad meal but we were just unlucky there I guess.. We did have a run in with monkeys up the road which was pretty scary. I don’t scare easily. We were just walking up a lane from a beach. Babies sat on the trees. Then boom all the adults came running at us.Just beware!!
