Koh Lipe is a really untouched island. It's about a 1.5-hour speedboat ride from Langkawi, but the immigration process for both Malaysia and Thailand is just awful. Expect to wait in the sun for 1-2 hours; it's a normal level of inefficiency. If you're particular about hotel quality and environment, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. We stayed in a treehouse pool room, and there were so many dead beetles, mosquitoes, and flies. Right outside the hotel, there's a stinky ditch and a very run-down local slum. The water quality is also really poor; we had to change our filter shower head every day. The only good thing is that the snorkeling water is better than in Langkawi. Honestly, if you're not super into snorkeling, you're much better off finding a nice hotel in Langkawi and just chilling out for a few days.

Amazing stay at Irene! The hotel room is spacious and beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful. Aoi at the spa is amazing! I really enjoyed my massage and facial with her.

We stayed one night and mostly relaxing at the place. Excellent location, on sunrise beach and then can walk to sunset beach in the evening which is nearby, less crowded beach. Service by the hotel staff is also excellent 😁 The breakfast and lunch we ordered was good.. Although do think they should make it adult only hotel as kids in the other villas during the day can be noisy which can’t be avoided. Otherwise Great for couples for special occasion or a romantic getaway 👍🏼

While this incident was unfortunate, it did not overshadow the overall fantastic experience we had at Irene Resort. Pretty good but pricey

The scenery is superb; it truly feels like stepping out of the villa onto a white sand beach and jelly-like sea. Snorkeling and kayaking in this area are fantastic. The hotel service is excellent, and the breakfast is good, especially the abundant fruit and fresh juice selection. The only drawback is that the beach is public, lacking privacy.

Advantages: 1. Sea view right outside the door; beautiful sea view from your bed. 2. This room type has two bedrooms, plus one upstairs, family-friendly. 3. The hotel offers free small boats for boating and snorkeling to nearby islands. 4. Good service; the staff are professional, responsible, and friendly. Disadvantages: 1. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. 2. The shower water and toilet spray water had a foul odor. 3. Many ants in the room, thankfully none on the bed. Overall, a pretty good experience; I would probably come again.
