Kobe is Japan's international trade port city and the capital of Hyogo Prefecture. It is located on southwestern Honshu Island, the largest of the four major islands in Japan. It is west of Mt. Rokko and faces Osaka Bay. With spectacular scenery, the city was built along the mountain and overlooks the sea. Since ancient times, Kobe was prosperous as an international trading port, which means that it has always been in contact with foreign cultures. For this reason, even in Japan, it has always been famous for its unique and exotic streets.
In Kobe, there are scenic spots such as the Rokko Mountains with beautiful natural scenery, as well as the Arima Hot Springs, an area famous since ancient times for exuding traditional Japanese culture. Kobe is well known by travelers and famous for for Kobe beef, red wine, candy, and other delicious foods. The best feature of Kobe is its relatively small size - most of the sights are just a short walk away from the main train station. Near Sannomiya Station in the central area of the city there are plenty of places to shop and eat, making it a good place to look for hotels in Kobe. Higashinada-ku and Nada-ku in the east are also important regions in Japan for wine fermentation. Mt. Rokko in Higashinada-ku and Buk District are great places to get close to nature and overlook Kobe.
Kobe is warm in the winter and cool in the summer, making it suitable for travel at any time of the year. In terms of latitude and longitude, it is located in the center of Japan. The city has an average annual temperature of 16.8°C, with highs reaching 34.5°C and lows reaching -3.5°C.
