Excellent stay! I was in town for Ayumi Hamasaki's concert, and the venue was right across the street, just one block away. The hotel is also conveniently located near Citizen's Plaza Station, which is why I chose it. The hotel itself is grand and impressive, with a spacious and comfortable lobby. I arrived in the morning before check-in, so I relaxed in the lobby. There's even a convenience store inside the hotel, making it easy to grab anything you need. The room was very spacious, and the window offered a great view. While it's an older hotel, what truly matters is the comfort and overall feeling for guests, not just having the newest gadgets or facilities.

The room environment was quite good, clean and hygienic with plenty of space. As a business traveler, I was really satisfied with this hotel. Even though it's on an artificial island, there are shuttle buses every 20 minutes, which is very convenient for those going out. The buffet on the 33rd floor in the morning was also very refined, with a wide variety of dishes and excellent service. Overall, I think I'd choose this hotel again if I come back for leisure.

The hotel lobby is luxurious and grand, and the rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent, and it's super close to the exhibition center, just a 200-meter walk. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Worst and horrible experience, very disappointing and horrible stay in this hotel. Never seen cockroach flying in room, extremely disgusting! Can you imagine found this at 2am flying in hotel room. Complaint made to hotel, never get resolution, such horrible customer care! Never return to Kobe , never recommend PORTOPIA hotel! Only worst terrible experience ever!

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Kobe's artificial island at Shimin Hiroba (Citizens' Plaza). It's incredibly convenient for the airport, and the hotel even offers a free shuttle to Sannomiya Station, which is excellent – though I only found that out on my last day, unfortunately! The surrounding scenery gives you a real sense of Japan's booming high-growth period. The hotel epitomizes Japanese service style, and the rooms are really spacious, much larger than many other Japanese hotels I've stayed in, with plenty of room for all your luggage. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, and the 30th-floor restaurant offers panoramic views of Kobe Port. It's a shame the weather wasn't great during my stay, but I hope to visit Kobe again on a sunny day next time!

Located on Port Island in Kobe, it's about a 10-minute ride on the Portliner light rail to either Sannomiya or Kobe Airport. The surroundings are beautiful, with a large park nearby. The hotel is luxurious, and the rooms are very spacious. There are many dining options available. During the off-season, the prices are incredibly low, making it an excellent value for money.

The room was very clean and well-equipped with all the amenities. The blankets were also very comfortable. The hotel is large and beautiful, with a convenience store inside, making it easy to buy things. It's a bit far from the city center, but there's a dedicated shuttle service every 20 minutes. We were given a room facing the mountains, and the night view was beautiful. We also enjoyed some delicious Kobe beef nearby.

This resort hotel offers a fantastic view of the entire Kobe city. The buffet restaurant on the top floor is excellent, with delicious and abundant food, and the night view is absolutely stunning. It's an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers.

This hotel prioritizes profit above guest comfort. Despite being practically empty, we were assigned a distant corner room, a clear indication of their disregard for convenience. The most shocking part was the preemptive "warning note" about constant, loud wind noise, essentially admitting they're aware of the problem but refuse to fix it. Trying to sleep was a nightmare, feeling like the room was in a wind tunnel. While the facilities like the spa, gym, and pool might look good on paper, the core experience—a restful night in a quiet room—is completely failed. Paying a premium for such a fundamental flaw is unacceptable. The empty halls only highlighted the misplaced priorities: instead of providing a quality stay, they focus on squeezing money for amenities while ignoring basic room comfort. A deeply disappointing and frustrating experience I would not recommend to anyone. Choose a hotel that values your rest, not just your wallet.
