Reviews of Koggala Beach Hotel

An old rather tired hotel but still retains a certain charm. Rooms were spacious and staff friendly and helpful. Nice pool and right on the beach with access to the sea. If you want somewhere quiet, and aren't too fussed about a modern looking hotel, this might just suit.

Very helpful staff and I really like the sea view. Both of us were enjoying their lobby area with feeding fish. They have a unique spa as well.Specially Mr.Ranjeeva,he handle our inquiries calmly.really appreciate front office staff

Beautifull location all rooms are very closed to the beach. Little bit old Hotel but very clean rooms and Also the beach. The beach is very beautiful food is very good. Friendly staff i hopes to come back again in next year.

The Koggala Beach Hotel sits on a truly excellent stretch of coastline, and its location is undoubtedly the property's strongest asset, providing a beautiful setting for a holiday in Sri Lanka. However, despite the stunning environment, our recent stay was unfortunately hindered by significant issues related to maintenance, service, and dining quality that require immediate attention. Accommodation and Maintenance The accommodation desperately needs modernization. The rooms felt significantly outdated, and maintenance standards were poor. The television in the room was notably small and non-functional, and the bathrooms were not well maintained. Service and Dining The level of service received from the staff was another major disappointment. Both the front desk and room service teams were unhelpful and often seemed disinterested in assisting with guest needs. This lack of attentive and helpful service created unnecessary frustration throughout the stay. Furthermore, the culinary experience was very average. The food provided was very average in quality, and the overall selection was quite limited. The dining options do not currently meet the expectations of a hotel in this price point or location. Summary While the Koggala Beach Hotel boasts a magnificent location that promises a great beach getaway, the current condition of the rooms, the substandard service, and the average dining quality severely detract from the overall experience. The hotel management must urgently address these core operational and maintenance deficiencies if they hope to attract and retain satisfied guests. Until these problems are resolved, I would advise potential visitors to proceed with caution.

Hotel was nice. Beach was near the hotel. Pool was clean. Food was delicious. But some cleaner stole the euros I had in my luggage.

Excellent view, cleanliness, hospitality and food. Highly recommend if you are looking for relaxing time with beach view. Staff is very helpful and understanding as well as great service. ❤️❤️
