Chai Chet Resort Koh Chang

I didn't have high hopes initially, but I was pleasantly surprised – it far exceeded my expectations. The hotel is right by the sea; I stayed in a beach villa, and the beach was just a few steps away, perfect for a quick dip. The sand was incredibly fine. Behind the villa, there were rocks, making it an ideal spot to watch the sunset. A short walk led to a 7-Eleven and local eateries, which was very convenient. In the evenings, there were restaurants and drink stalls further down the beach, and the prices were quite reasonable. You could also get a massage right on the beach, with prices comparable to those outside the resort. Getting a massage while listening to the waves was pure bliss. The room decor was simple but very clean, offering excellent value for money. Just remember, for housekeeping, you need to hand your key to the staff in the morning; otherwise, they won't clean your room. Breakfast was simple but filling, and you could even ask the staff to prepare an omelet.

I really like Cha Chet. This is our second year vacationing here. This time we chose a beach villa. We love everything, especially the beach. Breakfasts are decent – we never went hungry, there's always a good selection. The only downside is no coffee machine, but it's not a big deal.

The rooms are in need of renovation; the furnishings are very modest. The mattresses and pillows are uncomfortable. Breakfasts are also modest; coffee is from a pot, and there are no croissants, but you can still get your fill. All of this can be forgiven because of the hotel's stunning grounds and incredible sunsets. I think this hotel has the best beach! I'm already dreaming of going back!

The best hotel on Koh Chang island!!! This is our second time staying here, and we'll definitely be back again!!!!!!

Excellent hotel, we really enjoyed everything. The staff was very attentive. The sea is nearby. There are enough sun loungers for everyone. Breakfasts are good. There's a 7/11, street food stalls (makashnitsy), and a buffet close by. The coastline is long, great for walks. There's a fire show every evening on the beach. The grounds are clean and well-maintained. I recommend this hotel.

I really liked the pool area, the water temperature was great. The ladies offer an affordable and high-quality massage for 300 baht. Fresh fruit is available at breakfast, but the coffee isn't very good. The room itself is unremarkable. The soundproofing is terrible. The beach right by the hotel is the least attractive on this stretch. A lot of debris washes ashore, and it's not cleaned up very well. If you walk a bit further down the coast, you'll find much nicer and more idyllic spots.
