Paradee Resort

Koh Samet|3.08km from city center
As a couple who have traveled to many luxurious destinations around the world, we can confidently say that the Paradee Resort is truly one of the most incredible places we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by a fleet of friendly faces and introduced to the destination. We were immediately enveloped in the serene and tranquil atmosphere of this tropical paradise. The resort's lush tropical greenery and extraordinarily pristine beaches are enough to take your breath away, but it's the incredible attention to detail and top-notch service that really sets the Paradee resort apart, with our spa experience made top notch by Noi and Pin. Every single staff member is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that your every need is taken care of throughout your stay, with special mention to Tony. And the accommodations themselves are simply stunning, with spacious, beautifully-appointed rooms that provide the perfect blend of luxury and comfort, with our experience in the Garden Pool Villa absolutely exceptional. But perhaps the highlight of my stay was the incredible food. The resort's restaurant offer an incredible selection of fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that are expertly prepared and presented. Whether you're in the mood for Thai specialties or international cuisine, the Paradee's culinary offerings are sure to impress even the most discerning foodies. Our favourite meals were the chicken pad see ewe, duck Massaman curry and the chocolate and peanut butter lasagne that we indulged ourselves with more than once! All in all, I can't recommend the Paradee Resort enough. If you're looking for a truly luxurious and unforgettable experience on Ko Samet, this is definitely the place to be and we can’t wait to return!

Ao Prao Resort

Koh Samet|1.47km from city center
We have just spent three nights in Ao Prao Resort. This was our second stay with the previous being 2018. On this occasion as per the previous we were picked up at the Pier and taken by fast boat to the island however on this visit we were delivered to the opposite side of the island and then transferred by Tuk Tuk Taxi to the resort. The facilities including our room are the same. Lovely room, beautiful linen, great oceans views, daily free bottled water and great wifi (the wifi works everywhere in the resort including the beach). Breakfast each morning was lovely whilst offering a limited choice of hot and cold options. I must say the options were far less than our previous visit. Can I also say that whilst the staff were all very helpful and pleasant we did not get the same vibe on this occasion. At our previous visit a staff member would not walk past you without acknowledging you and offering that friendly Thai smile that was on offer every single time previously. At times it appeared an effort to acknowledge guests. The pricing of food at the resort can be a little high and so we visited the opposite side of the island each night for dinner and ate lashings of food and drinks for a reasonable price. You will be required to pay a Tuk Tuk Taxi 200 baht each way for this travel. Some of the water craft is free to use whilst others you are required to pay an hourly rate, unsure what given they do not require petrol to operate. Sun lounges and towels are available and free on the beach to use as required whilst there are also two pools available for Ao Prao guest. During our stay we were issued gloves each morning to assist at breakfast time and encouraged to wear a mask when in confined spaces/dining areas but not made to feel uncomfortable if you did not. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly visit the resort again.

Samet Ville Resort

Koh Samet|2.06km from city center
For the first time in 15 years of Asian travel, it happened to me that despite 4 nights of advance payment (a fabulous booking portal) I have already searched the distance after the first night. This ”resort” is a ruin that is still alive for unexplained reasons. The staff is practically unintroducable and leaves the plant to its sad fate. Arm thick fallen aces on the broken walks and broken buildings sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply sharply The room was a disaster and only more rudimentary to the images shown in the booking portal, which must be many years old. Unstoped, broken equipment, roast and destroyed colour everywhere. There was no more attack in maintenance or care for years. There was the promised, but not available WiFi the smallest problem. Breakfast consisted of two eggs, two leaves S*****s and toast, Butter and peanuts from the plastic cart and reminded me more of a prison than a resort for $50 per night. But at that time my decision to leave had already been made for a long time. Concluded, I am a mystery that this facility is still open and that notorious booking portals have these in their offer. I feel at least cheated by every single cent.

Malibu Samed Resort

Koh Samet|0.24km from Ko Samet
In all my years of global travelling I don't think I have stayed anywhere so disgusting, had we not have paid upfront we would have walked away on arrival. We have, over the years stayed in some truly questionable places but one thing I can say, at least they were clean which I can't for this. We had to ask for the room to be recleaned on arrival as the floors hadn't even been swept let alone mopped after previous guest. Walls and skirting areas not seen a cloth since the room was redecorated. Balcony area outside of room including chairs, table and balustrade are covered in animal faeces and haven't been cleaned in months. My photographs are of the restaurant area, if this was the UK the premises would be condemned by the environmental health. The restaurant isn't serving lunch or dinner, probably closed through lack of customers, no one in their right mind would pay extra to eat here. The images on booking site demonstrated the property has seen a recent overhaul and gives the impression someone has injected money to update modernise and instagram worthy the property. They have then they walked away and never looked back to ensure it is kept clean. The photographs on Tripadvisor must be years and years out of date as they are not a representation of how the resort looks today. The swimming pool may be netted for leaves everyday but the bottom is covered in lines of silt, no one is using it, probably in fear of getting sick from the dirty water. The atmosphere here is awful, all western guests are walking around looking miserable wondering what on earth they have come to, don't be lured in by the photos, this is a dump. Breakfast is terrible, cold coffee, cold eggs, dirty plates and crockery, despite paying upfront for breakfast we went into town after day one. Thank god we were only here three nights we were actually considering cutting our losses and moving on early. Having just left and walked through the restaurant, the coffee spillage that occurred three days ago still hasn't been mopped up which demonstrates the lack of care from the staff. This may be a dream holiday resort by Thai standards but by European standards this is just plain awful.

Samed Tropical Resort

I'm a professional travel agent and travel expert. I inspect hotel throughout Asia for 6 months already. Big hotel chains has hosted me for a reviews in media in my country. Bofore leaving Thailand I decided to spend some time on a beautiful beach Ao Cho of Samet Island. That's the most beautiful beach here with clear cristal waters and white sand. The resort itself is very old, Iean The Grand View Ao Cho redort which manages Tropical Samet Resort. And Tropical Samet Resort is a newly built part of it. The construction looks very good, but only looks. It is very bad done in details. I stay on a standard room on th second floor. Good bed, no furniture at all. No table, no any chair. So you will not be able to work eith your notebook for some time if you need. The shower is only the wall shower. So when you walk in from the beach you can not only just wash your legs off the sand, you gonna need take your all body shower. It's very inconvenient. For ladies especially, there is only one mirror in the bath room and there is no light to see your face appropriately. So, forget about making a good makeup. There's no safebox in the room. Pay attention to it! You will have to take all your valuables and belongins with you always! No any special place to allicate your luggage. No shelves. The good thing is that you sleep in a new bed. And the room is fresh. But it will be downgraded quickly because the quality of works is so poor. The locker in the door is electronic but it is shacking like it is broken. The restaurant of the resort is very expensive. And the service is very slow and bad. Today I had a dinner. There were only two tables occupied. I waited for my club sandwich for 30 mins. I also ordered hot latte and tgey brought me cappuccino. Ok, I decided to check and ordered latte again. Same. They brought me cappuccino, bitter cappuccino again. Although the restaurant has wide variety of coffee in the menu. And it's definitely supposed to understand the difference between latte and cappuccino. I waited for another cup of coffee 10 mins)) What could be easier to push the button in the coffee machine)) Also how come to mix ketchup and maionese? The chef, where are you from? Are you from far resorted village from the mountains in Thailand? For those travellers who wish to stay here and enjoy the best beach, the hotel is still in shape noting the fact that even bad bad resorts on the island are all full because of high demand now, I advise you to eat in a small cafe like a rasta-bar on the beach. The service is very quick, very delicious, even soups and 2 times cheaper then in the hotel restaurant. Have a safe and enjoyable travel.

Tongta Phaview Resort

Rayong|0.35km from Ko Samet
Hello everyone During this time, the weather is very erratic, it's hot, rainy. But the late travel like us is not afraid of the value, suddenly I want to go to the sea, so I arrange a trip like a lot of fire. Finding accommodation to many places, but the room is full. Until the trip will collapse, so try to fight for another round finally !!! I also have accommodation @tongtaphaview Samed resort Koh Samet, Rayong Province, nearby Bangkok. I'll come and tell you from how to go. We drove to Rayong Ban Phe Subdistrict from Bangkok - Rayong about 1 hour. Leave the car park at the pier 60 ฿ a day, take a boat at War Thip Pier, normal boat to and from 140 / person (1 minute), Speed Boat round trip 300 / person (2 minutes). When arriving, there will be a fee to enter the park 40 ฿ per person (just started collecting during COVID period) And the cost of a minibus to ride to the accommodation, 50 ฿ per person to the accommodation. We walked a little into the accommodation. Upon reaching the accommodation, the staff brought a welcome drink to serve (very impressed here. Very good service) The atmosphere of the accommodation is very good. Right next to the sea view. Activities of the resort are clapping. The signature fish here, just applaud the fish and come to us look like a group of surfboards, canoe, floating net, badminton, beach hammock at sand scoops, badminton, ball, surf board, game board, fishing rod / fishing fishing, food, free breakfast for every meal. The resort has food for sale at 80 - 500. (A lot of delicious menus) As for the price of accommodation, the room that is very delicious, the price is 3000 / night, including breakfast, although it is not a sea 1view room, but wake up to see the sea as well. (Secretly regrets, I can't reserve a sea 2view room because the room is full) The service staff is very good. 3 Overall is 4.

Sea Breeze Bungalow

Better to overpay than to breathe.. I will say at once, almost the entire hotel was free, traveled outside the season. First we were settled in room C11 , the smell of the spleen, the mini-mini room, all old and a number of repair works. We went to the respiratory, asked to change the room, gave us E11, it looked much better) but an hour later, dogs came to us and they ended up with us for 3 days, they went out at night, chewed, scratched. In principle, coming to the room, we immediately understood, that not just the furniture was worn. On the trail of the day, right under our window, they set fire, we were breathing, all night sleeping in Gary, TC winding that smell was impossible, smelled everything, clothes, hair) well, And in the morning all the repair works were suddenly moved to our house ... We went to friends to the nearby silver send, I will tell you so, the difference is huge and the attitude to people is different ... so if you don't want to spoil the holiday, it is better to overpay a little.
Ao Cho Grandview Hideaway Resort

This was truly the nicest place I’ve stayed since I’ve been in Asia, we came here during Chinese New Year and it was totally a get away from all of the hustle and bustle of city life we deal with in China and even a get away from the big cities in Thailand like Bangkok and Pattaya. I could not recommend this location any more. I would go back here in a heartbeat!
Blue Bay Bungalow
4.4/57 Reviews
My first time to Ko Samet for an overnight, and I wanted a quiet getaway just to relax without all the activity. This place was perfect for that. Stayed in one of the beachfront bungalows, and while I would prefer that they didn't have the music during the day, it wasn't really that bothersome, and they turn it off by 6PM, so the morning and evening are wonderfully peaceful. Room #2 seems a bit better than #1 where I stayed, since it's set back a bit so a little more private. Had breakfast and dinner at Samed Villa next door, and both were very good. They have a Fire Show at 7:30. Also got a massage there, and that was outstanding. Had lunch at TubTim on the other side, and that was good as well. The bar is quite nice, and drinks are very good, both alcohol and non. Went for runs both mornings, and though the roads are quite hilly and challenging, traffic was minimal with plenty of space, so not stressful at all. Took a walk down to Sai Kaew beach, which is ~20min, and need to walk in parts on the narrow road with traffic. Definitely glad I chose the quiet area, since it was quite loud and crowded, but lots of fun nightlife options if that's your interest. They do have some construction going on during the day, which can be a little distracting, but again not terrible. I'm a little concerned that all the new construction may detract from the peace and quiet, but hopefully they'll be able to preserve that.
Jirawan Hotel

Was far more expensive than other accommodations on the same beach. Room was badly decorated and was dirty and smelled of damp. The AC had no controller so the temperature was controlled by the owner and was set so that it was hot and humid in the room. There were dead cockroaches all up the stairs to the rooms which were there our entire stay, showing the lack of cleaning taking place. We walked a few meters along the beach and far superior bungalow for half the cost. Avoid this place at all costs.
Sinsamut Koh Samed

Me and my friends went to Sinsamut a bit after 8 pm, was greeted by the staff and ordered. We barely managed to get our food to the table and the staff just starts picking down the tables around us! We literally just began to eat and suddenly all the tables around us was gone! Before we even finish our meal, they turned out the lights! When we arrive nothing, I mean nothing indicated the place was going to close soon. The restaurants around this one stayed open later, so if they were going to close the restaurant within 30 min the least the staff could have done is warn us they'll be closing before sitting down and ordering. At no point did any of the staff apologize or seem to even consider how it felt to be a guest eating, when they just closed the restaurant in the middle of the dinner! Who shuts down the lights while guests just received their food!? We literally was rushed to eat our dinner in 10 minutes from upon receiving our food, didn't even finish my drink and we left before 9 pm. The food wasn't awesome and it has plastic tables, while the other restaurants at the beach have proper tables. Do yourself a favor and pick any, I mean any other restaurant on the beach than this one. Unnecessary to say, no tip was included in that bill!
La Lune Beach Resort

I went to Samui on the weekend to play, and I stayed at this hotel after being recommended by friends. Also said that the deluxe room, the facilities are very simple and the breakfast is very general. There is still a certain distance from Diamond Beach. There is a small beach outside the hotel. The price is not high.
