The room was fantastic, super spacious at over 200 square meters, perfect for families. It had a lovely vintage wooden design. There were tons of pools; the infinity pool was great for photos, and the sandy pool was perfect for playing. There were also a few smaller pools that were good for snapping pictures. The whole place is built into the cliffside, right by the mountains and the sea, offering stunning cliff views and beach features. The spa is at the very top. I highly recommend catching the sunset, it's absolutely beautiful.

So glad we picked InterContinental as our first hotel in Koh Samui; everything about it was excellent. The environment was simply stunning. Even though the weather wasn't the best during our two-day stay, we still witnessed incredibly beautiful sunsets and evening glow. With multiple pools, we could enjoy a swim in peace, and we even saw little birds coming to drink water from the pool. The hotel grounds are quite extensive, and a leisurely stroll around was very pleasant. As for the service, it was exceptional. All the staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We arrived in the morning, and our room wasn't ready yet, but the front desk staff warmly invited us to try out the various facilities and services. We treated ourselves to a spa session after a tiring journey; it was quite pricey, but there was a discount on the first day, and it was truly, truly comfortable! Additionally, our check-in was on a Sunday, so we got to catch a fire show, and the iron flower performance was a novel experience. I personally recommend booking a club room. The birdcage afternoon tea was quite nice. When we were tired from exploring, we'd head to the lounge for some drinks, and in the evening, we could enjoy a drink while feeling the sea breeze and watching the sunset. InterContinental Koh Samui was absolutely amazing! The views were first-class and incredibly photogenic. The service was also top-notch; everyone from the lobby manager to the delivery driver greeted us with a cheerful "Sawasdee ka" and a smile. The front desk staff, Song Jia and Lian Xiaochun, patiently introduced everything to us in Chinese, and other service staff also made an effort to greet and chat with us using the few Chinese phrases they knew. We truly felt at home. Although the hotel facilities are a bit older, they are very well-maintained and clean. I especially want to say that booking a Club room was the best decision! Firstly, the most beautiful views from the lobby are reserved for the Club Lounge, where you can get drinks and snacks anytime. Secondly, there's daily afternoon tea, and from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, there's a happy hour where you can watch the sunset, enjoy various drinks, and have plenty of food. We even managed to catch a sunset party for Club members on the pier. This trip was wonderful and unforgettable.

I feel that this hotel deserves a thorough review. We decided to stay at Intercontinental Samui for our wedding anniversary after checking out many hotels on the island, and it was a great decision. This hotel is special as it is tucked away in the hills and on the quiet side of the island, and we could experience buggy rides getting around the hotel. We also walked around, crossing the suspension bridge to just immerse in nature - there is a lot of greenery around. The view from the lobby was amazing. The service was excellent - we were served welcome drinks, and the bed was decorated with rose petals cake for our anniversary with a chocolate cake given as well. There was daily turn down service with different dried fruits provided each day. We attended complimentary yoga and muay thai classes with the same friendly instructor (both flexible for yoga and a strong fighter for muay thai), and kayaked to watch the sunset. The rooms are not the newest, but it is clean, spacious and cosy. Great place to stay for a chill getaway!
