Overall, I'm very dissatisfied. I booked this hotel based on good reviews, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment! I stayed for 3 nights, gritting my teeth the whole time! At 2 AM, the bar next door was incredibly loud. The total price was almost 3,000 per night, which leads me to one conclusion: the overall living experience didn't match the price or the hotel's star rating. You'll understand better just by looking at the pictures, so I won't say more. The hotel's breakfast offered a variety of dishes, but the quality of the ingredients wasn't good. The sausages tasted more like flour than meat, and all the juices were just drinks, no fresh squeezed options. The fruit wasn't great either. Overall, both the food ingredients and drinks were poor, and the hygiene was terrible, especially in the breakfast restaurant – the floor was filthy! I was speechless when I saw the hotel's loungers and bath towels! This is absolutely not the quality you'd expect from a hotel at this price point. This experience has really driven home the fact that when booking a hotel, it's better to stick with well-known, established brands; they tend to have higher standards and deliver better service and quality!

Ko Samui Hotel Review 🌴 Not great value for money at over 2,000 per night My immediate impression: the overall value for money just isn't there 💸. At over 2,000 baht a night, I think it's mediocre, even though Ko Samui's weather is incredibly comfortable and the climate is very livable. I feel the hotel's pricing is inflated, and I'm not sure why it's always fully booked. First, some objective points: I haven't compared it to other hotels in Ko Samui, so I'm not sure if the general prices are high across the board. Looking at this hotel specifically, it's not brand new; it's moderately aged but well-maintained, which is acceptable. 📍 Location & Environment The location and surrounding environment are flawless. It's quiet and peaceful overall. The private beach has very few people, so you don't have to deal with crowds. If you get up early, you can catch a stunning sunrise over the sea 🌅. After 4 or 5 PM, the temperature drops, and the sea breeze is cool, making it super comfortable for a walk and unwinding. 🏨 Room Accommodation Experience The room is about 40 square meters, so it's not particularly spacious. The biggest drawback is the bathroom's lack of a separate wet and dry area ❌. The bathroom's cleanliness is average, and the shower area isn't very well-maintained. Every time I showered, the entire room would get damp, and there was no dehumidifier. It felt muggy and humid, which really detracted from the experience. I stayed in a garden view room, not a genuine sea view, but the view was still decent, and I could see the sea in the distance. 🍽️ Breakfast & Service The breakfast selection is incredibly rich, with many options. The hotel staff are also very friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. ⚠️ But be sure to go early for breakfast; if you go later, it gets very crowded, and the experience directly declines. 🏊 Pool Facilities There are two pools in the complex, very well laid out~ One large pool, perfect for photos and swimming; One small adults-only pool, quiet and suitable for relaxation. 🎁 Hidden Bonus Highlight Complimentary drinks in the room 🥂. The entire minibar is free to use. There's also a daily 'little surprise,' which was the biggest highlight overall. Overall Summary The resort environment and beach atmosphere are fantastic, perfect for lounging and relaxing. However, for over 2,000 baht a night, with a small room, no wet/dry separation, and humidity, plus facilities that aren't brand new – while not bad overall – the value for money is indeed low. I'm not sure if this is the standard price point for hotels in Ko Samui~

First off, my inaugural trip to Koh Samui was full of delightful surprises. Over 95% of the tourists here are Westerners, with only a small number of Chinese visitors. The overall quality of tourists is high, and the city's service-oriented mindset is strong. Secondly, choosing Centara Resort brought another big surprise to my trip. I booked a bit late, so only a garden-view twin room was available, but it was still great. I could see the pool, the beach, and coconut trees right from my balcony. **Location:** Just a ten-minute drive from the airport, making transportation very convenient. Chaweng Beach, Samui's best beach, is right outside. Within a 15-minute walk, you can reach Chaweng Night Market, the bar street, shopping areas, massage parlors, Tops supermarket, Starbucks, and more. **Service:** Full marks for service! From the moment you step into the hotel, you're greeted by a warm and enthusiastic front desk staff. They offer turndown service and a welcome fruit platter with mangoes, oranges, apples, passion fruit, etc. The room also includes complimentary hotel-exclusive nasal inhalers, which are the best I've tried in Thailand – I bought 10 more at check-out. The toiletries, shower gel, and shampoo all have a rich essential oil scent. As a bonus, there's a 'surprise button' on the room's landline phone; press it, and you get a surprise treat every day. The fridge is stocked with over four kinds of complimentary soft drinks, daily nuts, and banana chips, plus a facial mist. The restaurant also has a Chinese menu. **Dining:** Breakfast offers a daily special dish alongside à la carte and buffet options. Over four days, I tried four different special dishes, including Northern Thai noodles, soup noodles, and Tom Yum noodles. For afternoon tea and dinner, the hotel has two more restaurants: one specializing in Thai cuisine and another by the beach focusing on Western dishes. Both are exquisite and delicious. The Thai restaurant offers a set menu for two, which takes the guesswork out of ordering and is good value for money. **Recreation:** There are two swimming pools, a gym, and more. Plenty of daybeds are available by the beach, and as soon as you lie down, someone brings you iced water. I also saw people ordering drinks and coconuts. I plan to try the spa next time. **Value for Money:** Traveling during the off-peak season, this hotel offers great value among the high-end options in Samui. Finally, I'm delighted I got to stay at a hotel like Centara and grateful to every Centara team member for their warm service, especially Manager Li, the airport driver, housekeepers, F&B staff, and beach service staff. **Recommendation Index:** 5 stars (out of 5)

Extremely dissatisfied with the hotel room and amenities. Looking at the pictures, I thought I was paying 900 yuan a night? The room was small, dark, and the facilities were very old. The shower was dirty, and the whole room felt neglected and poorly maintained with no attention to detail. I do not recommend it. While we were at the pool, the bar staff, perhaps annoyed by the noisy children, even folded up the parasols as if to chase us away... What kind of service is that? As a resort hotel, especially with a Chinese general manager, children playing in the water is unavoidable. This move was extremely rude. The hotel's amenities are definitely not worth over 4000 yuan a night. You only realize how bad it is once you've been there. Don't trust those influencer hotels on Xiaohongshu anymore.

Staying at this hotel in Koh Samui for the Chinese New Year holiday was an unexpectedly great choice! Although it was quite pricey, it was definitely worth every penny. The location is excellent, and the breakfast is fantastic, making it a perfect hotel for a pure relaxation getaway. There were also little surprises every day, showing how much thought the hotel puts into its service. Manager Tang, who speaks Chinese, handled our check-in and even upgraded our room to a suite for free – we're so grateful! Every staff member we encountered within the hotel grounds would proactively greet us, truly making us feel welcome and valued. Next time I come to Samui, I'll definitely stay here again, and for a longer period!

The room was a bit small. They charged extra for an 11-year-old child, and it was an additional 5000 THB! Out of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip, this was the only one that charged so much. I had no choice but to upgrade the room type, which then waived the extra child fee, but it ended up costing an extra 2000 RMB per night! 😄 With the basic rate, I ended up spending almost 6000 RMB for one night.

Second time visiting, and this time we stayed in a suite with a private pool. The room was smaller than the 'Hermitage' room upstairs, but it felt much more like a vacation, and it was super convenient for taking the kids to the main pool. The facilities are noticeably older than two years ago, but I'm thrilled to see the area around the hotel has become much livelier and more convenient. When I came during Chinese New Year in 2024, it was quite deserted, but now it's easy to find places to eat, shop, and even walk to Central. The public areas and beach are perfect – white sand and blue sea, and the breakfast is extensive. This hotel also has Chinese-speaking customer service, which made communication excellent. The service was spot on, and any issues were resolved immediately. I'll definitely be back for a third visit!

The room was spacious, perfect for our family of three with plenty of room to spare. Although there wasn't a Chinese-speaking receptionist when we checked in, the front desk guy was incredibly nice! He meticulously explained everything, from check-in procedures to hotel facilities, and even walked us through all the features in our room. He was super enthusiastic! We later added a Chinese-speaking staff member on WeChat who was always quick to answer any questions, from recommending local restaurants near the hotel to helping us book taxis. She was so thoughtful and accommodating! The hotel scenery is absolutely stunning, and the beach quality is excellent. I could just lie there all day and never want to go home! The hotel breakfast was also quite generous, with a wide variety of Western and Chinese options, including both à la carte and buffet choices. The food tasted pretty good, and they had different special juices every day, which were delicious! My only minor regret was on our last day's breakfast, one of the restaurant staff members seemed to treat us a bit differently – if you know, you know! All in all, I highly recommend this place; everything was perfect, and I would definitely stay here again!
