This hotel is probably not a 5-star, more like a good 4-star. The rooms are interestingly decorated and feature a spacious, comfortable terrace. The room has everything you could need, from an iron to umbrellas. There's a capsule coffee machine, milk, and complimentary fruit. The towels and bathrobes are spotless white, and champagne flutes are provided. The terrace has a very comfortable sofa and a fan, and even candles for a romantic evening. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. There are plenty of sun loungers, and the service is excellent. Breakfasts are superb! There's absolutely everything you could want. Lots of vegetables, fruits, and they bake wonderful pancakes and waffles. Downsides: The most disappointing aspect is the beach. In June, swimming is impossible as the water is only knee-deep and unsightly dark green coral is visible. We didn't even bother renting paddleboards. The prices at the on-site restaurants are significantly inflated. The hotel is located on a hill, making it difficult to get around in the heat. The nearest shop is a 15-minute walk away. Housekeeping: Upon check-in, we noticed stains on the floor. While there's no wet cleaning during your stay, a more thorough cleaning between guests should be mandatory. The bathtub also didn't inspire confidence; we didn't dare fill it due to visible streaks. Housekeeping comes twice a day, but they sometimes forgot to restock certain toiletries. Also, guests with infants or elderly individuals might find it less comfortable due to the many stairs.

The hotel's environment is great, and the staff are very polite and always greet you. The shuttle service is also very good. However, conditions on the island are limited, so there were some insects and the water quality wasn't the best.

The room space is a bit small in the accommodation area, but this might vary depending on the room type. The beach view is absolutely stunning, especially at sunrise. Breakfast is plentiful and the staff are very welcoming. It's a great place to start a vacation, immediately putting you in a relaxed holiday mood. Transportation near the hotel is very convenient; it's easy to get a taxi to more bustling areas for sightseeing and dining.

The room was excellent, very clean, and the air conditioning was super strong. All the hotel staff I encountered were great and helpful with any requests. Highly recommended, I'd definitely come back in the future. Treetops (restaurant) was also very good, and the food was delicious. Though it was 8 courses, and I was already full by the main course, you could still tell the ingredients were of good quality.

Overall, this hotel is very good. From the moment we walked in, the staff asked us to beat a drum at the entrance, symbolizing good luck. While waiting to check in, they gave us blessing ropes, showing the hotel's thoughtful touches. The staff were very service-oriented, especially one girl with a very kind smile. She often waved us off as we left and waited until we got into the car, which was incredibly heartwarming. The style and facilities of the hotel room were excellent. It had a courtyard-style balcony, and the bathroom was quite large with a good-sized soaking tub; it was generally very comfortable. However, all the rooms we booked were on the second floor, which was inconvenient for the elderly in our group due to daily stairs. Moreover, on our first day, the room below us was a pool access room, and they were noisy from the afternoon until past midnight. I called the front desk to complain at 9 PM, and they immediately sent staff to address it, but the noise started up again later. Closer to midnight, I messaged Trip.com to communicate the issue. The next day, a staff member found me during breakfast to apologize for the behavior of the guests downstairs and offered to change our room to a different type that day. I was very satisfied with the hotel's ability to resolve problems. If you need anything at the hotel, you can call the front desk at any time, including requesting a buggy to the restaurant and beach. The hotel property has many slopes, and it's quite hot, so walking isn't ideal. The beach is beautiful, and there are many free water activities. My child spent one day kayaking and another day paddleboarding. The hotel's breakfast was a semi-buffet, semi-à la carte style. The variety wasn't small, but the overall quality was average.

The hotel's location is a bit average; the nearest 7-Eleven is a 15-minute walk away. However, the beach right in front of the hotel is fantastic, with shallow waters and a small island. You can also use the hotel's paddleboards and kayaks for free. This time, I booked a pool suite, but both the pool and the room were a bit small, and the room felt a bit dark. The hotel's breakfast is excellent and definitely worth trying. Overall, the staff are quite friendly and provide good service.

Extremely convenient, the location is superb, the hotel is very well maintained, and the overall service is fantastic!

Everything is nice, the only issue is pricey

The environment is beautiful, and the sea view is unbeatable. Breakfast is à la carte, the infinity pool is stunning, and there are plenty of water activities.

Travelled to Ko Samui as a group of friends and family for 5 days and we had the best time at Anantara Lawana. From the moment we stepped in, Khun Arthur and Khun Baimon introduced the resort to us and assisted with the check-in process. As we had a family member celebrating her birthday, the resort was so kind to prepare a sweet message and cake for her, together with a token during our departure. Throughout our stay, everyone was so polite and friendly, greeting all guests they see. The team at breakfast service (Khun Mint, Khun Pla, Khun Pop, Khun Benz and many more members whose names we couldn’t get) was very attentive and accommodating, even preparing a larger table for us everyday after realising we were a group. During our stay, we also got to enjoy the many facilities and activities organised by the resort, such as the gorgeous pool overlooking the sea, the private beach, kayak rental, beach tennis rental, muay thai class, live music at Sandal lounge, traditional thai dance for the end of day ritual and even a mesmerising fire show. Resort buggy service, turndown service and bubble baths were such luxury, and we truly enjoyed our interactions with all our buggy drivers and housekeeping team. This has been the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation for all of us, and we deeply appreciate the Thai hospitality we were shown. Thank you to all the staff at Anantara Lawana who made this experience truly memorable. We cannot wait to visit again!

Glad for the very early check in. That allow me to rest it was very appreciated. Even my stay was short I enjoyed the room and the location of the resort Facilities all look nice and service staff smiling and available to help. Only negative point quality of breakfast below standard. Many point to improve from buffet set up and a la carte dishes presentation.

Facilities: The facilities are quite new. Standard rooms are indeed a bit small, but the balcony is a nice touch. The bathtub is impressively large, though it does take some time to fill. The rustic cabins, however, have only average soundproofing. Cleanliness: Housekeeping is very thorough, with service twice a day. The complimentary bottled water in the room is excellent – truly the best on the island. Environment: Mosquito control is excellent; we barely encountered any, a stark contrast to the shops right outside the hotel. The beach sand is very fine and feels wonderful underfoot. Service: The management is clearly very professional and well-structured. Staff members are all very discreet and courteous, making us feel secure and at ease. After we mentioned our anniversary beforehand, they showed thoughtful attention to it throughout our stay. Dining: Breakfast was rather average. However, the Thai food at Cay is delicious, and dinner at Tree Tops comes highly recommended. The waitress, Aye, was delightful. A special shout-out to the bartender at Singing Bird next door; he's fantastic and definitely deserves a bonus!

Extremely welcoming and accommodating. The stay felt like home, flawless service. The room was spacious and state of art, bathroom with A/C, large concrete bathtub that can easily fit 4, like a mini swimming pool. Came with a comfortable spacious balcony for fresh air ambushed with greens, it feels like a house than a hotel room. Flip flops are provided for beaches. Quiet private beach and white sand and clear water, sun bed, surfboard and kayak are free to use to paddle across the island. Wide selections of breakfast including western and oriental as well as local. Received a sweet gesture - a complimentary cake for birthday person that came with a candle, perfection!
