Hotels in Chaweng Noi, Koh Samui

When we arrived at Ko Samui airport, the transfer service from the hotel worked perfectly. We received a very warm welcome at the hotel and were given our room straight away. The room (Grand Deluxe Room) far exceeded our expectations. It's less of a room and more of a small apartment without a kitchen. The hotel complex is absolutely paradisiacal. Lots of beautiful plants and very well maintained. The beach was amazing, the most beautiful beach we have seen on Ko Samui (we explored the whole island by motorbike that we also rent from the hotel). The sea - turquoise blue clear water. The great thing is that it is a private beach so only accessible to hotel guests and therefore not overcrowded. The food was fantastic. There is a very large selection and there really is something for everyone. The pool area directly on the beach with an included pool bar is very beautiful. And the cleanliness of the whole hotel was excellent. What particularly impressed us and what we have never experienced on our many trips... was the warmth and friendliness of all the staff. Everyone was always helpful, funny and good organized. Friendships developed in this short time, for which we are very grateful. We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for what you have done for us. You gave us a wonderful honeymoon and organized such a beautiful candlelight dinner that we will never forget in our lives. Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits am Chaweng Beach was aber auch Ruhe bedeutet. Mit dem Taxi kommt man für ca. 6 Euro in die Stadt (hier unbedingt die ältere, super nette Dame gegenüber am Ausgang fragen. Ein besseres Taxi findet man nicht). Hotel ist mit Sicherheit nicht mehr das neueste, aber alles ist sehr gut gepflegt. In den Zimmern funktioniert alles und die Betten sind auch gut. Fitnessstudio ist sehr ordentlich für ein Hotel, das Frühstück und Abendessen sehr gut. Liegen sind sowohl am Pool, als auch am Meer ausreichend vorhanden. Der Strand gehört sicherlich zu einem der schönsten und ruhigsten in Ko Samui. Das Personal war auch super nett und freundlich! Sehr gerne beim nächsten mal wieder. The hotel is not directly at the main Chaweng Beach, which also means peace and quiet. You can take a taxi into the city for about 6 euros (definitely ask the older, super nice lady opposite at the exit. You won't find a better taxi). Hotel is certainly not the newest, but everything is very well maintained. Everything works in the rooms and the beds are good too. Gym is very decent for a hotel, breakfast and dinner very good. There are enough loungers by the pool and by the sea. The beach is certainly one of the most beautiful and quietest in Ko Samui. The staff was also super nice and friendly! Very happy next time again.

Здравствуйте ! Оставляю справедливый отзыв об отеле new star будучи не прихотливым путешественником , имеющим большой опыт в посещении отелей среднего сегмента на о. Самуи , среди которых данный отель был самым высоким по стоимости . Начнем с плюсов - плюс начался с того , что я оплатила невозвратный тариф с карты , которую нельзя было использовать и администрация отеля моментально пошла мне на встречу и отменила бронь и я все успешно переоформила с другой картой . Спасибо ! - работники всего отеля хорошо разговаривают на английском - хорошие завтраки длящиеся с 7 до 10:30 , что важно - вы можете поесть в помещении с кондиционером или выбрать улицу . Горячих блюд было около 7 на выбор . Среди которых встречались и блюда с рыбой , тофу . Хорошие фрукты , сладости. Две кофе машины - расположение отеля на одном из лучших ( для меня лучший) пляже Самуи , где царит приватная обстановка , пляж с бирюзовой водой и почти отсутствием людей . Много лежаков на пляже . Есть большой бассейн . Обстановка приятная и спокойная - никакой громкой музыки , толпы людей , отдыхающие здесь тихие и воспитанные )) - симпатичная территория отеля , но будьте готовы что все отели здесь находятся на склоне а не на ровной поверхности , нужно всегда немного в горку подниматься когда возвращаетесь в номер - большой номер , есть кофе машина , понравилась больше всего из всех отелей кровать здесь - есть спортивный зал ! Совет администрации - разместить его фото , ибо перед посещением не была уверена в его наличии ! Зал небольшой, с кондиционером , можно провести силовую и кардио тренировку ! - ОГРОМНЫЙ плюс это наличие прекрасной комнаты отдыха и хранения багажа после выселения ! Такого я не видела пока в отелях - здесь есть комната с кондиционером с большим диваном , весами для багажа , душевой с полотенцами и тд , с книгами , где вы можете оставить свои вещи после выселения , положить в шкафчик с ключом ценные вещи , привести себя в полный порядок и отдохнуть и все с комфортом! За наличие данной возможности я ставлю огромный плюс Минусы хотелось бы отметить следующие - главный минус здесь это чистота. Для меня большой показатель чистоты в отеле - это зеркала , стекла. Разместившись в номере я обратила внимание , что на всех зеркалах ( а их было 4 ) присутствуют разводы от мытья , а так же пыль. Такая же ситуация прослеживалась и в местах общего пользования - такое ощущение что либо их не умеют мыть либо уборщикам не предоставили нужные средства . Номер стоит не дешево совсем , чтобы при заселении увидеть грязное отражение и толстый слой пыли на нише зеркала снизу. Мне пришлось отдельно просить чтобы их помыли. - так же в моем номере не работала душевая шлейка в ванной , не открывался слив. Номер именно в этом отеле выбирала из-за наличия ванной в нём , которой особо не удалось пользоваться , считаю за данную стоимость такой момент не приемлемый - среди всех отелей , где я была , здесь впервые в номере увидела маленького тараканчика, может быть так вышло случайно и тд , НО я его убила , и немного откинула в сторону , зная что сейчас выхожу и придет уборка номеров и его сметут . Когда вернулась в номер - он так же валялся на полу. Что говорит о качестве уборки. Считаю это вообще не приемлемым . Отдыхая в отеле ниже классом и стоимости - каждый день я возвращалась в свежий вымытый номер благоухающий чистотой и пройдя босиком ноги были чистые всегда , в отличии от этого варианта . Очень хочется обратить внимание администрации на данный момент ! - не уверена что цена соответствует тому , что предложено , но это личное мнение и это взгляд именно на номера , возможно варианты с виллами гораздо лучше и соответствуют стоимости

The hotel location and breakfast are still very good, but the hygiene is poor. The room assigned when checking in was completely dirty and had not been cleaned. Later, the front desk apologized and offered a free upgrade. This treatment was still very satisfactory.

Very warm and professional service, great food. I stayed 3 nights with my family. we need to catch an evening flight, and I talked with Pei Pei, she helped to sort out late checkout which is very kind. Excellent experience!

1. The breakfast is very good, that is, the breakfast menu is in English, and the juice is freshly squeezed and very delicious. The restaurant is on the beach and looking at the blue sea every day is really comfortable. 2. Whether it is the waiter or the boss, everyone is smiling. The service is very good and patient. Most of the people living here are foreigners, and there are very few Chinese. 3. There is no peculiar smell in the room, there is a faint fragrance everywhere, it is relatively spacious, you can lie in bed to watch the sunrise, and fall asleep while listening to the sound of the sea breeze at night, and you can cook your own dishes in the room. The hotel has its own swimming pool, which is not very big but very clean. The kids played in the pool all day on the last day. 4. It is best to drive or rent a motorbike if you are traveling, and you will be there within a few minutes to Chawen. Overall I am very satisfied, and I will still live here when I go to Samui.

Away from the hustle of central Chaweng, so is a good spot to be based for quiet times and used as a base to explore the island. Beachfront pool villas are nice, large and great views of the ocean. Private pool is a bonus and well worth the upgrade. Hotel was busy when I stayed and everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. The pool isn’t the largest but plentiful for the amount of rooms. Don’t forget, there are the villas with private pools, so a fair number of guests will be in their own area. Access to the beach is not directly in front of the hotel, but that’s a good thing otherwise I would be hearing everyone in front of my villa each day. Access is the side of the resort just past the restaurant. Along this stretch of beach has a few other hotel bars and restaurants to eat and drink in and if you head to the furtherest headland point, and head inland, you will come across a handful of bars and restaurants. As many people have said, the hotel is next to a road - but like most hotels in Samui, it’s just the design of the island. You can avoid the main road for your walk to the local area by going along the stretch of beach. And when you are on the island, why wouldn’t you want to walk along the beach?! So don’t listen to those comments about nothing nearby. If you want the hustle of the nightlife, Chaweng central is 15 minutes away. Get on the shuttle or order a taxi for 300thb. It’s a 4 star hotel, trying to get back to some kind of normal after covid and over time, I am sure the owners will reinvest their money to make improvements where some other guests have commented about in other posts but I do think it is dependent on the room type you book and/or are assigned as most of them are fine. Give it a go, it is worth it. I’ve been to many hotels over the years - more than the average Joe - and it’s only recently where I’ve checked in and out of two hotels on the same day in all these years.

It is a 5-minute walk to reach Chaweng Beach. It is very convenient to live here to enjoy the beauty of the sea. You can easily go anytime when you want to go to the beach and play. It's really great. And the apartment house is also very good, the furnishings are very stylish and beautiful, the house is also equipped with air-conditioning and TV, it is very convenient to live.

I read many reviews about this resort and studied the Mantra Samui website, but never learned until after I booked (4 nights stay) my room that they had cancelled , during Covid, the regular shuttle that took guests down the hill to Fisherman Villa. I learned this because I called the hotel before my trip to ask some questions and also ask how to reserve a place on their shuttle. The resort does have one auto/driver that will drive you down to the bottom of the hill if it is there, and if it is not picking up someone at the airport. The shuttle delivers you directly to the bottom of the hill, is pretty much is just a local road. Then you can wave down a taxi and negotiate the price. Some fun! The Mantra Sumai should update their website to say the regular shuttle has been cancelled, and replaced by their maybe available one car. Continuing my story... We booked a massage at another hotel that is about 20 minutes away, and gave ourselves one hour to get there. So the night before we reserved to get the ride down to the bottom of the hill for the next day afternoon. When we went to reception, we were informed there was an accident, which was a flat tire, and the tire 'might' be fixed in half an hour and then another 20 minutes to get back to the Mantra. They apparently felt no responsibility to contact us. Just wait for the guests to show up and then tell them. They felt no responsibility to call the driver for any update. They then offered to call a taxi, but that would take about 20 minutes to arrive. Also when you call a taxi there is no opportunity for negotiation. My hour was dwindling. Well 20 is better than maybe 30 + 20 minutes. So they called the taxi. Luckily the Mantra driver showed up after 15 minutes, and the taxi was cancelled. My conclusion, after all the interfaces with reception, is they have a poor sense of responsibility and lacking the ability for logical thinking to provide a good guest experience. There are other examples beyond the above. Our suite room was in good condition, and everything functioning. Well, except the phone did not work, but I did not need that. The suite has a king size bed and a separate built in bed in the back of the living room. OK, so 4 people can stay. But the flaw in the suites is there is only a 2 person love seat to sit on. There is no chair, and no desk. It is no fun to use your laptop when the coffee table level is below your knees. A simple 4 leg table for a desk, and a simple chair would be nice, and not cost very much. They do have an on-site co-work room somewhere, but I did not use it. I think it is an extra cost and I did not have that much work to do anyway. The highlight of the Mantra Samui was the included breakfast. There are many cooked to order choices plus a buffet of juices, fruits, cereals, yogurt, pastries, and several breads you can toast yourself.
