We stayed two weeks. Large rooms, WiFi worked well. Great location, its a 10 minute walk to the beach along a busy interesting street with lots of food available. At the rear it is very quiet. The staff were really lovely & made us so welcome, it was a pleasure to meet them all. They had prepared a room as we had asked with the correct bed at the back overlooking a bit of farmland, some palms & the hills beyond. Our flight was a lot earlier than check in time but that was no problem at all once we asked. The balcony view at the back is beautiful. I can't say how rooms are on the noisy street side or the sides of the building, I don't sleep well so the back worked very well for me. The pool was fairly small but with a deep end and was just lovely up on the roof with a really great view. The staff booked all of our trips for us and some taxi's & a meal & did such a smooth job of everything. We stayed two weeks, everything was a pleasure & very easy. They also brought my partner a birthday cake with candles on the day, it was so sweetly done. Some areas were a bit empty or desolate, perhaps because of the pandemic passing, & some areas need a little decorating or maintenance, nothing of which was serious or bothered us at all. But the building was clean and functional, the air con in the room was good. Reception closed in the evening at 20:00 which means you go in the back way but that was fine, there is still an elevator. The lovely smiling staff, the assistance, the view & the rooftop pool made it a pretty special stay for us. Thanks so much to all the staff including Noi for helping us, sorry we had to rush off without proper goodbye ♥️

Very surprising small hotel, warm, comfortable and sanitary. The French owner and local waiter are very nice, 5 minutes walk to the beach, much quieter than Chaweng Beach. Our whole family loves this hotel and will stay here again if we have the opportunity.

Perched in rm 120 overlooking the Gulf just metres away from my 2nd floor balcony, this is where you want to be for an intimate ocean beach experience. Large shady tree in front provided welcome relief from afternoon sun. Great spot to enjoy morning tea, reading, internet browsing, happy hr. (Good WiFi throughout). The narrow beach is raked/cleaned daily. The sea was clear most days; depth drops off fairly quickly and, at 26/27C, ideal for swimming! The on-grounds smallish pool was kept immaculate, although located uncomfortably close for my liking to the facing ‘beach front’ rooms (so no sense of privacy). The room itself was spacious, bright & modern. No ornamentation. No drawer storage for clothing. A bit Spartan. I complained about the hardness of the bed mattress, so the kind & cheerful housekeeping staff added a 2.5 cm padding cover, which helped. Roomy washroom with push-open window; glassed-in shower stall had excellent hot water pressure. TV was useless since the channel menu is very limited; no BBC, Al Jazeera, CNN, etc. On arrival Nov. 14, I negotiated an inclusive breakfast into my 26-night price w. the gracious manager, Pom, who also met & transferred me from the airport. At the time the hotel was undergoing expansion construction which included a bar/dining area and professional kitchen. Now that that work is complete the breakfast deficiencies I experienced -- cramped seating, virtually no selection variation, undrinkable coffee, bland unhealthy white bread -- presumably have been -- or soon will be -- rectified. (This experience brought my stay rating down a star.) If you opt for a non-incl. breakfast room rate, the Village restaurant across the lane serves up a superior & cheaper one (at least did so back in December); for something more upscale, try nearby About Café. I'd stay at Baan Fah again. Mae Nam Village is quiet but lots of restaurants, pubs/bars & other amenities within easy walking distance, incl: outstanding café & roastery Hachiya, spacious well-organized gym, good hair salon across from About Café, fab massage shop Nan Maenam. If you crave more excitement & adventure, you can rent a motorbike from the mom & pop bike shop nearby the hotel. Final word of praise to the entire Baan Fah staff... with special kudos to the saintly Neung at reception who helped make my stay so agreeable.

The location points are difficult to find, there is no front desk attendant, you can only find by phone. There is no signboard at the intersection, and the road outside the store has uneven water. It is necessary to pay attention when going out at night. Take a few minutes, there are markets, night markets, The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen for cooking.

For 2 years me and my son spent nearly everyday here. There is a gym 5 minutes away and great restaurants and good stores on this street, and the beach. ALL within 5 minutes. Its very quiet here. The people who run this place are great. Manager is from Nepal. They are very very kind and helpful. The bungalows are quiet and in a peaceful area not far off the main road. We loved it here and can't recommend it more. Service here and this area is great. Low cost stays. It can't be beat for the price anywhere in Ko Samui. HIGHLY recommended. He even grows hydroponic greens you can eat while staying. Short walk to Indian, local and a great sandwich shop with fantastic deserts. You won't be disappointed.

I have been to many countries and have lived in many hotels. I am a 0-reviewer. It may be because I used to do hotel management. I know that the service industry is not good, so whether it is a 6-8 star hotel in Europe or America, it is still ordinary. Express Hotel never evaluates. But regarding this hotel, I would like to comment on it. It is convenient for Chinese people to refer to. The following reviews are purely personal experience: 1. The front desk guy was very good at check-in, very happy when staying. 2, the bedroom on the right does not know if there is no change of bedding (pure personal opinion) some sand, indoor lighting is dark, let the old public mobile phone flashlight, the sheets are wrinkled and stained, we switched to the left room, here Very clean and very comfortable, I am glad that it is two bedrooms. 3. When I was having breakfast the next day, I couldn’t smile at the European and American guests. When I arrived at us, I was full of face. It’s even more sad that my husband had a small donkey because there were a few guests next to it. The reputation of the hotel, the husband has not made a sound, until the waiter passed, the husband smiled and did not speak, pointing to the cockroaches on the plate, but the restaurant did not have any explanation and sorry, it does not seem to matter, I asked her husband why not complain Husband said that, people do not have the heart, it is not easy to do business, it is even more sad to be speechless, when you go, a fat lady seems to be responsible for the lady to pull the face to ask us to pay, we say our room is included Breakfast, the lady said a lot of unhappy, I showed her the phone order, she was not happy and said a bunch and then called us to the front desk, I gave them the phone order, then They said that they had been looking for a long time on the computer for a long time, and took out their own orders for a long time. Then the desk confirmed that there was something that made me feel ashamed that the restaurant lady looked at me very angry. At the first glance, I turned around and left, and they cooled us there. The whole process of the hotel on the hygiene of the food and the management of the hotel's internal orders and attitudes, all the behavior without any explanation and apology, we only want to be respected, too bully This internal management really makes me speechless. 4, Chinese people who are not good at English are not recommended to stay, because there is no Chinese service, or you do not know what happened. It is recommended that hotels do not like Chinese people to stay, you can write only welcome European and American guests. Sometimes praise is also... The above is purely personal experience, only for reference
