I absolutely cannot recommend the hotel. The hotel was probably closed for 4 years and reopened in December 2023. It is in very bad condition. The rooms are outdated, the facility is dirty and still under construction. Building materials are flying everywhere. We didn't have a cow at first. We booked the chalet/bungalow. We had to leave the chalet we had booked immediately upon arrival because the smell was very strong. The lady at the hotel said that the paint had been freshly painted the day before. Here I ask myself why this is even offered to guests. After waiting for over an hour we got a room in a low category, we were once again negatively surprised. The air conditioning didn't cool down properly, there was no refrigerator in the room, no safe, no hairdryer, no shower enclosure in the bathroom. The equipment is very old. The TV does not work. There are no cupboards in the room to store clothes. The single bed is right next to the double bed & not separate with a partition in the room as booked in the chalet. The hotel complex is also horrible. Everything is still under renovation. Unfortunately, this was not noted anywhere by booking. There are several construction workers walking around. There is building material everywhere. The facility itself is very littered. Just like the pool. The pool bar & restaurant empty. There are no pool towels. Just like the pool. The pool bar & restaurant empty. There are no pool towels. The breakfast was inedible. After we slept in the hotel for one night, we were once again negatively surprised after our trip. The room wasn't even cleaned. No fresh towels. After my complaint, a lady came who wanted to clean our room. Unfortunately that was too late as we had to leave again. The staff at the hotel are very nice, but they cannot help us with the above-mentioned deficiencies. This hotel corresponds to a maximum of a 1-2 star hotel & not a 4 star hotel as described in booking. The renovation would have to be completed before this could be offered to guests.

Offering a range of rooms and pricing our deluxe double allowed for a very comfortable couple of weeks. The resort is not new but is in good condition, our room came with a comfortable double bed, TV (Netflix) a small fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and daily bottled (glass) water. The bathroom was generous in size and included double basins, a wardrobe & storage, the shower was good and the water was always hot. The resort picked us up and dropped us back to the pier as part of the cost of accommodation. What else did we enjoy, Air conditioning, outdoor table and chairs, pool with a swim up bar, beach front position and access, on site restaurant & bar, on site massage, dive school, good wifi. In the evenings the resort was quiet compared to some yet still close to the centre of the town (Sairee junction across the road from reception). At that junction take the road up the hill 650 metres to find the large supermarket “Smile Mart” for all food requirements, wine, spirits and beer by the case. While heading that way check out “Pork Leg restaurant” a great place for good affordable food and drinks. If your room comes with free breakfast, Morning View up on the main road is your best option. Walking onto the beach and turning right look for the hanging decorations, bean bags and lights of the O’chai beach bar & restaurant a great spot to relax and enjoy the beach, the cool vibe, dinner, a drink and the sunset. The lovely setting of this on beach restaurant and bar will draw you in, the quiet music, good service and great food will keep you coming back.

Insanely bad service. I booket 1x 1 Night for 2 and 3x1 Night for 2 in total from 19 to 23 july. I ask if we could get same room during our stay to avoid moving room the Day after and it was confirmed by the receptionist. Today they show up and tells us to move room or we have to pay more to stay in the same room. The hotel is EMPTY we are the only ones here but they dont Care. I also booked a room with 2 single beds and they start giving us a room with a double bed. We are 2 men aged 41 and 51. WE DO NOT SLEEP IN SAME BED OF COURSE. I have used hotels.com app for 5 years now and have over 200 nights booket in total, most of Them in Thailand and i have never in my 10 years travelling in Thailand had such a bad service at a hotel. I even wrote the hotel 2 days in advance to explain everything about our room and out stay. No reply. We were told when we arrived at the hotel there was free transfer from pier but how should we know when noone at the hotel answer our messages. This is litteraly insane. This hotel does NOT provide any service at all and the receptionist has a very unpleasant Way of talking and explaining things. Do not go here its simply not worth it and the Island is covered in hotels anyway

Booked 5 nights but left after 4 despite not being refunded for the 5th night. There were several stray dogs sleeping on my porch and beneath the bungalow that barked nightly starting around 2-3am until 5-6am making sleep impossible. They also growled and barked as I’d approach the bungalow. And there was a stream of dogs to encounter as I’d walk back from town at night, some growling with their hackles up. Bed was hard as a board. Bugs in the funky bathroom. Cockroach in the bedroom. Dark small bungalow. Although the waitstaff were so sweet, the restaurant food was some of the worst I’ve had in Thailand. Included breakfast was limited and not good. Really overpriced compared to the other places I’ve stayed here on Koh Tao. I’m staying now in a place in Chalok less expensive and 2-3 times as nice (large, bright, high ceilings, clean, no bugs, amazing views, very quiet, peaceful, great restaurant, wonderful staff). The thing Bow Thong has going is it’s away from the music banging all night in Sairee (dogs negate that benefit, though, in terms of being able to sleep) and that it’s right on the beach. There is lovely snorkeling about 50-100 feet offshore.

A particularly beautiful island, I ca n’t remember how many times I came to Turtle Island to play. This time because I was with my mother, I specially booked a new hotel by the sea. The facilities are pretty good. The environment is very good, and the luxurious sea view room booked below is the swimming pool and beach. The scenery is absolutely beautiful, and you can also snorkel.

Location is great! You can walk on the beach in a few minutes into life. Nice beach tent holders and restaurants. Shopping is a bit disappointing and there is nothing like a night market. With the hotel's shuttle bus you can go to the pier 3 times a day for free. Staff is very friendly, help you with everything. Staying at the beach is wonderful! The sea is nice and calm, good to lie in or swim. The pool is poorly maintained. Broken tiles and dirty water, a shame because this can be a wonderful place if you (and we actually) are less from the beach. We stayed in the deluxe villa. Large ”house”, with large bathroom and large balcony where the bats like to hang from the roof in the evening. These do nothing, except to shit on the balcony… The bed is very hard. Asked for a topper which wasn't a problem but rather a mattress protector so flimsy and it didn't really do anything. The breakfast is not exciting, we mainly had breakfast outside in life, with more choice than egg and toast.
