Excellent residence near Kos town and the beach. Quiet and comfortable location. The garden and swimming pool are beautiful, well-kept exteriors, comfortable and spacious rooms, friendly staff.

We knew this hotel was basic but we still had a lovely time. My friend & I stayed for 11 nights. Mostly Dutch & British guests and a total mix of age groups from babies to pensioners. Our room was very basic and the bathroom was very old and small. No room to store your toiletries, just a wee shelf above the sink. We ended up not using the shower curtain as it was very claustrophobic, so bathroom always got soaked. Our balcony faced out onto the car park which wasn’t the best view. A lot of the apartments have been upgraded and have nice garden views, we were on a b&b basis. Now the breakfast. Yes that was very basic but you know what, it was fine. Pool bar did a full breakfast but you had to pay for that, pool bar also did lunch. Lots of choice and good was really good. The hotel lounge etc again was basic and old fashioned , no one really used it. Plenty of books in there for guests. Also lots on balls, noodles and LILO’s in the pool left from past guests for all to use. Pool area was great and plenty of sun loungers available all day long, nice big garden area with plenty of trees to lie under when it got too hot. Hotel is in an excellent position just off the ‘main road’. Bus stop at the bottom of the road and it’s only about a 20 min walk along to kos town, lots of bike lanes, everyone hired bikes which were very cheap. Beaches aren’t the best, gritty sand and stones in the water, not idylic. Nice restaurants on the main road and very good prices. Kos is beautiful, hire a car and get around the island. Staff at the hotel were lovely, music played at the pool bar and it was fine, no loud rowdy music as some reviews say. Enjoy your trip. Supermarket across from hotel has ready made rolls for you to take to airport

We stayed for 2 weeks in a superior room which had a bedroom and a camp bed for two in the kitchen area, we found the staff very friendly and the place was very well cleaned. There is a mixed international crowd here of families and young people. We used the Bam Bam supermarket next door which has everything you need including postcards and stamps. We found that there are no reliable taxis on kos - we booked a taxi to take us to Zia the night before at the reception desk - it never turned up and we heard similar stories from others. Hire bikes to get around! The hotel recommended safe wheels, which we have used before, suggested there were deals for a two week hire- there aren’t any deals- 25 euros a week is the rate- would try David’s hire place next time, his are 20 per week. Would also recommend the enterprise car hire place - how we got to Zia and water park- reasonable rates there. We had breakfast once on last day - wasn’t worth 10 euro per head- even the cereal was very poor and the fresh meat etc - shocking. Wish we had bought a box of cereal from bam bam! Bar is very basic and music is off putting- the barman is friendly but plays his own music, so it’s quiet most nights. Overall a good place to stay - easy reach of kos town and great tavernas, pick superior rooms away from bar and avoid breakfast! Overall we

The hotel was very nice for the price we paid. The staff were very friendly. We didn't get the best room but it was clean every day, new sheets and towels. It only issue we had a family room but the air conditioner was only in one side of the room i.e. the main bedroom. Our children sleeping in the other room it was very hot and uncomfortable. That said the pool area, breakfasts, bar area were all brilliant. There was mixed groups families 18 to 25s over 50s etc mixed nationalities but all very friendly and respectful of each other. And no rush for the sun loungers there is plenty. Our family would definitely go again and location wise it was ideal.

The 'OK' basics; Rooms are clean and functional. No kettles or toiletries is irritating. The grounds are well kept with some nice horticulture and the green area near the pool is quite nice to situate yourself for some shade. The snack bar serves decent food at a reasonable price - but be aware it is very basic food. Drinks at the bar are basic too and they do a coupe of (usually very sweet) cocktails on special during the week. We found the bar staff very abrupt and even rude on the first day - to the extent we almost left the hotel. But they improved during the week! Breakfast is VERY basic. Now the not OK things The hotel has become a bit of an 18-30 type destination - mainly Dutch travellers. We didn't suffer it ourselves, but other guests had lots of problems with late night partying. The real issue is the number of people in the hotel means the pool is really a very un-relaxing place to be. At times the entire pool is taken up with people playing ball games and floating around on inflatables. It is horrendous and one afternoon, whilst sitting 15 metres from the pool, I was smashed in the face by a ball. We left the hotel during the day on 5 out of 7 days. It really is quite an unpleasant place to be during the day - if you want to relax go to a beach. If, however, you are the type of person who doesn't really give a s**t about other people's peace and want to spend the day pointlessly throwing a ball to someone, taking up half of the pool and hitting others, then this is the place for you. There are so many people crowded into the pool doing this for hours on end, the water starts to get cloudy from all the suncream and urine. The hotel don't care, so you'll be free to do what you want. Essentially, the hotel has zero personality and is very much a 'get on with it place' with few staff around. It is certainly expensive for what it is. It is located near beaches - just a three minute walk away, but they are not very nice and I would suggest getting a car and going further afield such as to Tigaki beach or those down in the south west. A rating of 3 out of 5 is really for the garden - otherwise a definite 2

We have just returned from a week at the Alexandra beach. We loved it. Our room was lovely and modern and clean , the best room we have had in all our Greek holidays, the bathroom was lovely , great shower .we stayed in the new part of the hotel facing towards the pool but had lovely trees in front for privacy. The staff are lovely and friendly and the areas are beautiful and clean. We loved that there was grass areas to sunbathe under trees. We admit though the breakfast isn’t great but jam and toast was enough for me in the morning, some people added their own bits to the breakfast from the local shop like musli and different cheeses , but we ate out lunch and tea so it didn’t bother us. We loved pisaldi , it’s lovely and quiet away from the busy kos town. Lovely tavernas on the beach and the cocktail bar was fab, they were really friendly and the cocktails tasted delicious. We enjoyed our walks into kos every other night so we had a choice of different restaurants , we ate at Petrino in the old town on our last night , wow amazing that is a must go, it’s so pretty and the food was lovely. We used the beaches in Kos attached to the sun burnet arms , yannis the owner was so helpful and friendly and his food is amazing. You can use his beds for free and he supply’s you with a bottle of free water when you arrive and leave. He s as also gives you a free drink after your meal, we chose Ozo and lemonade lovely. We also used the beach up from the hotel , it has a lovely restaurant attached but is only open to 6 , the food there is gorgeous too and they are really friendly, that beach is a nice quiet beach but you pay a few euros for that one. We done the 3 island trip on the princess Diana , I could t reckons d the trip enough , what a day. It’s not to packed on the boat but get there a bit earlier so you can reserve the sun mats to sunbathe , we saw dolphins had lovely meal in a restaurant and lots of swimming , that was my best day ever. We also done the turkey trip but would t bother again , queues for passport control were a pain and while the shops were fab you were pestered to a point that it was uncomfortable so was t for me. We hired a quad and went up to the springs and tikigi beach which was paradise. We have had a amazing time and although have been busy all week we are planning on booking the Alexandra next year and hoping to spend more time on pool days too . It’s just a perfect location out of the busy but you can still access it . You won’t be disappointed.

I visited with my teenage daughter for a girls mini break and we had a wonderful stay. The hotel is clean and tidy, the staff were polite and helpful and our studio room was perfect for what we needed. We had read a few negative reviews but arrived with an open mind and would definitely return. There is a lovely clean pool and plenty of sunbeds. It was extremely hot during our stay and we were thankful for a number of shaded areas around the pool and under the array of stunning trees. Our studio room had an adequately equipped kitchen area with 2 of everything we needed. We only made lunches, but there was plenty of space to cook a larger meal if you chose. The bathroom was clean and quite spacious, although the shower was a little small. We had a balcony overlooking the local football pitch which was relatively quiet, and whilst it may not have been a pool view it was fun watching early morning and late night footy. There are an abundance of bikes to hire and a cycle path that makes it easy to cycle into Kos town and enjoy all the sights and great restaurants there. Due to the heat we decided to walk iater in the evening, once it was a little cooler, but the bikes were very popular and only 4 euros a day to hire. We had booked including breakfast. This was fairy basic. But a typical continental breakfast. I think we've all got too used to the all inclusive massive meals! There was bread, rolls and cake. Cereal, yogurt and fruit as well as ham, cheese, tomatoes and boiled eggs. So actually plenty. The fresh Greek yogurt and fruit was fine - although more fresh fruit would have been nice. If you would rather a more substantial breakfast the supermarket across the road offered a wide choice of goods and you could easily make it yourself. In the evenings we ate at the local tavernas on the beach with stunning sunset views across the sea to the coastline of Turkey. It was beautiful. Having travelled to many of the Greek islands this was a first trip to Kos, and I'm already looking at when we can return! If you are looking for a comfortable hotel within easy reach of the beach, restaurants and then the busier Kos town and harbour then this is perfect. It is not a massive all inclusive resort, with back to back entertainment and activities, more food than can possibly be good for you and lots of fellow Brits. It is a lovely pleasant hotel with a multi- European client base and ideal for our short relaxing break.
