This hotel was genuinely great, and I was very satisfied with it during my trip. Initially, I only booked 2 nights, but after staying there, I extended my stay for the remaining three days.
First, let's talk about the pros: The location is excellent, making it convenient to get everywhere. It's a 5-6 minute taxi ride to the pier and Suria Sabah shopping mall, and about 10 minutes to Imago. Plus, the recommended souvenir shop is less than a 10-minute walk away. Gaya Street is right downstairs with plenty of dining options. Our room, 9915, offered a beautiful sea sunset view right from the bed.
Hotel environment: The hotel environment is very clean, and the bedding is spotless white without any dirt.
1. **Service:** One male front desk staff member speaks Chinese fluently. The others don't speak Chinese very well, but they all try their best to communicate and greet guests with a smile every time they see them. There's also complimentary water at the front desk, which saved us from buying a lot of bottled water these past few days.
2. **Room:** The beds in the room are quite large. I compared many hotels and initially considered the Hyatt, but online information suggested their beds were too small for two adults and a child. This hotel's quad room has large single beds, perfect for an adult and a child, and two adults would also be comfortable.
Now for the cons:
1. Housekeeping requires informing the front desk, but once you tell them, they clean it immediately. On the second day, when we extended our stay, the female receptionist even remembered that I had asked her to clean the day before and proactively asked if we needed cleaning for the new day.
2. On the day our room was cleaned, they didn't restock the toilet paper. I went downstairs to ask for it, but it was never brought up. Eventually, I saw their supply room door open in the morning and took some myself.
3. We stayed in a quad room, and the room size was actually decent, comparable to chain hotels in China. The downside is the lack of bedside tables, which made it very inconvenient to put things down.
I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that.
