Sutera Sanctuary Lodges At Manukan Island Reviews

Lovely place. Alcohol is expensive (38rm) for half a beer. I enjoyed my 2 night stay. It's a busy island with tourists from the mainland till 4pm but they all go home at 4 pm and then you basically have the island to yourself. Just you, a few other guests, and the army of staff.

I liked everything! Very cozy chalets, feeling like I came to grannie’s house 🏠, amazing customer service from the meeting at the lobby with welcome drink to saying goodbye 👋 , very delicious food in restaurant, breakfast is big, so friendly staff ( girls at reception and girls/guys in restaurant you are super!) and so beautiful nature! Regretted that haven’t booked 2 nights though. Didn’t have chance to see lizards🦎

One of our best experience. Best part about Manukan Sutera lodge 1) very helpful and friendly staff. 2) i booked 2 rooms. They gave me adjoining room. Super helpful for family with kids. 3) very spacious rooms. 4) sunset viewpoint is a big plus. U get the see the beautiful sunset. But have to walk 1.5km to and another 1.5km back. 5) private beach is helpful for guests so that we don't have to share the public beach with the rest of the visitors. U get to see more fish and corals because fewer tourists to scare away the fish 6) free rental snorkeling equipment. 7) delicious and sumptuous breakfast. 8) easy boat transport. Free overnightt parking at sutera marina club. Disadvantages 1) no data signal or wifi in the room.have to go to reception for wifi or data signal. 2) dinner is slightly more expensive because there is only 1 restaurant, so no other choices. But food is delicious, even for the fried rice (see pic)

I was a bit reluctant at first to go on an island resort (in case it's bad, you're trapped!) But this resort made me change my mind on KK! Their restaurant has amazing food! Probably the best I had during my stay in Malaysia. Beach was cleaned every morning, and different areas of the island gave the feeling of different beaches. Great pool as well, only for in house guest, so we were alone all the time. Some hiking trail (but easy one) to cross the island and see the sunset.. I'll be back for sure !

The location was great and the staff super friendly. A part of the beach was reserved for hotel guests and was not overcrowded. The team was trying its best to pick up all plastic in the morning from the beach but unfortunately during the day more was coming. People should take more care themselves. You can go snorkeling at the beach but to arrive the corals you need to wait for the tide and have to be a good swimmer. Then it’s beautiful out there. The breakfast was great and a good combination between buffet and menu. Overall we can recommend it for 2 nights. Don’t forget your mosquito repellent and bites relief. We saw several Gerrys;) - beautiful creatures.

Sutera Resort was absolutely stunning. Our villa was clean and comfortable, featuring two balconies with breathtaking views of the private beach. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. Watching the sunset at the point was magical, and snorkeling and diving were definite highlights of our stay. I highly recommend this resort for a memorable getaway.

Nice and comfortable Lodges with good amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was delicious & the restaurant served delicious food. I've booked 2 rooms. but one of the rooms had a lot of mosquitoes & the TV screen is flickering. This lodge got an exclusive nice private beach separately from the public visitor. The first day when we arrived at the Island, the beach had a lot of plastic bottles & waste found on the shore & floating in the sea. The authorities had taken swift action and cleaned all the waste on the beach & sea. Then it's become much cleaner.

Amazing place.. Amazing villa in front if the sea.. White beach.. Coral reef in front of you.. The water of the sea is clear.. Very pleasant place.surrounded by a green paradise!

Firstly I'd like to say the island is beautiful. The water was clear for snorkelling and the weather great. The one thing that I didn't like was the advertised private beach area. The daytime tourists use the beach and the deck chairs. There is no staff to tell them they can't use them. They just come and use. There's not much exclusivity about the resort during the daytime. Evening is better.

Service good. Food nice. Facilities good. The staff nice and helpful. Feel comfortable staying there

The previous resident of our room had urinated on the mattress, so we were eventually upgraded to another room type for free and enjoyed our stay from that pool on. Except snorkelling from the beach, best after around 4pm when the island is quiet. We saw a reef shark a couple of times, stingrays a tuna fish and many more. Reasonably priced food and drink available from the restaurant.

Housekeeping should be 24/7. Other than that all good.

I like it because it’s island position and good landscape. The amenities are medium, but I would like to ignore it due to the special position. Recommend to stay for several days, WITH foods and snacks brought from the city. I could recommend you some foods I’m eager to have during my visit: 1. Drinks such as beer, spirit. There are only limited selections with expensive prices, I understand the prices but I don’t think it’s a god idea to me. 2. Cup noodles and some snacks 3. Sun cream: sun lights are severe

I’m very satisfied and very amazed by the staff,room and surrounding. Thank to staff make some decorate for my kid’s birthday and Thank to Trip.com makes our holiday get easy 🤩🫰🏻
